My family of four stopped at Tavern 1301 in Lamar on our way to Texas for Thanksgiving break. We had an excellent server, Mrs. Tammy, who made some wonderful recommendations.
We had the pork chop that was absolutely mouthwatering delicious. Walnuts, cranberries and a very light sauce topped a thick bone in pork chop. The combination made every bite magical!!! Yum!!!
We also had the butter squash enchiladas that was equally as delicious and a must to try!!

I ordered the surf and turf with a loaded baked potato and a side salad, along with a house margarita — and everything was absolutely spot on! The steak was so tender and perfectly cooked that I barely needed a knife to cut it. What made it even better is knowing the beef comes from local farmers and ranchers in the area — you can truly taste the quality.
The house margarita was to die for — handmade with no premixes, smooth, refreshing, and perfectly...

Our group of 28 from the Denver Metro area loved our dinner at Tavern 1301! The manager sat us all in the same area and our waitress Krisha took excellent and patient good care of us. Our dinners and drinks were delicious. I had their dinner & drink specials that night - a fancy watermelon cosmo & perfectly prepared salmon with a spicy mango sauce - very tasty!
