“We stopped in Lamar, Colorado on our way home from vacation to avoid road closures due to the weather and this is a must stop! All food was amazing and the owners/staff were exceptional!”

“This was a halfway point for me, from the Denver area to meet family. Everything I have tried has been absolutely amazing! The steaks, burgers, pasta dishes, sides, and drinks... outstanding! Not to mention the service! There were at least 3 people checking in on us. One of my favorite places ever!”

“Everything was really good! Lots to choose from- planning to go back for the shakes and fried burrito. Fast service, only took 5 to 10 min to get all our food. Great prices. It's alot bigger inside than it looks, Really clean and good ”

“Stopped in while passing thru town. Ordered a club sandwich, and Patty melt. Betty, our server, was very polite and quite attentive to us. The restaurant has a large seating capacity and many food options. Food quality was spot on. The milk shake machine was broken, but that was the only bad thing. The place is cozy, and you can call for takeout. Thanks for the hospitality.Parking: There are several spots in front and near the street.”

“I had the chile relleno with calabacita and rice. All were excellent. Chips were pretty generic but the salsa was very good. Great service and food came quickly.Vegetarian options: There was a vegetarian section on the menu.”

“I love that they have a gluten-free pizza now. Workers are friendly. The building itself (inside walls, doors) is really dated & needs a good scrub-down in the tiny lobby.Dietary restrictions: Love the GF pizza!”

“We just ate at the Subway in Lamar, CO. Our sandwiches were delicious! I had the Turkey Cali with turkey, avocado, tomato, cucumber, green peppers, avocado, and spinach on a Flatbread.My husband had a BMT -- pepperoni, ham, and salami with cucumbers, tomatoes, olives, spinach, onion, green peppers on wheat bread. We had been travelling and eating very unhealthy, so eating at lots of veggies was just what we needed!!”

“Food was amazing, service was amazing. I was acknowledged as soon as I started to glance at their billboard menu. & food was made quickly, I got a large Philly with bacon cheese fries and a strawberry shake. Everything was delicious. No complaints.”

“It's a quick stop for a lot of passerby. Gas and food. Normal truck stop food for travelers but it will not disappoint. For those unfamiliar with godfathers its a good competitor for Black Jack or Papa John's. Super tasty in my opinion. The sub sandwhich shop is nice too. Fresh veggies daily. I have been in where it gets packed and sometimes there's a wait but associates \\u0026 others are usually polite and very friendly.”

“This is easily one of the best taco places around! We drove through from CO to TX and told to stop in at Lucy's and OMG we were not disappointed! The tacos were full of meat and toppings, with moist meat and fresh toppings! The helpings were more than enough and the spice was right on point! The salsas were both tasty - together or separate! The tortillas tasted fresh and were toasted up just right. The lady who worked the window was not only very nice and polite, but really pretty and had a smile that lights up the room! We make the drive between CO and TX often and Lucy's Tacos has officially become our stop for food! They clearly love what they do and take pride in their cooking! Keep doing what you are doing and open a Lucy's up in north Texas!!!”

“We were so happy to see a good restaurant in Lamar! I liked the Max Chophouse name having grown up in Lamar and its reference to the Maxwell House where we went out to eat as a child. Now if you'll bear with me - I would like to see the dining room be a little more intimate - it felt like we were too spread out. Then, at least in my design world, have the bar at the south end on the Main Street side - so dining on the Main Street north side and an elegant bar on the south. But I do understand that you want the pool table etc - maybe that could stay in back. The entrance could be in a vestibule with the entrance on Main Street. Overall - it's exciting to see this happening!”
