“This place is deceptively large. It has a humble, if not almost missable street entrance, but when you walk in the warmth of the place hits you immediately. Lots of seating, a few “hello how are you’s” from staff, and a big menu to choose from.They have local coffee shop fare, but if you’ll be in town and need dinner it looks like they take pre orders for dinners to go, and they sell out quick!Got the cold brew and 3-meat and potato breakfast burrito.“

It's fairly new in Lamar, Colorado, but always cars Scooting thru the drive-up line.Lots to choose from on their menu board and fast service.For those looking for a sit down coffee shop this isn't it, but it's more for the heavy volume of commuters either local or just passing thru towards Oklahoma or Texas to the South, headed to Kansas or further east, or North towards Limon, Colorado, Denver or beyond, grab it and go, and that includes not only coffee but cookies and really good breakfast sandwiches.Wheelchair accessibility: It's full drive-thru only so everyone can access food and drink.“

“Stopped in while passing thru town. Ordered a club sandwich, and Patty melt. Betty, our server, was very polite and quite attentive to us. The restaurant has a large seating capacity and many food options. Food quality was spot on. The milk shake machine was broken, but that was the only bad thing. The place is cozy, and you can call for takeout. Thanks for the hospitality.Parking: There are several spots in front and near the street.“

“My husband and I ordered the BLT and cheeseburger combos.The burger was crispy on the edges with a toasted bun! Yum!! The BLT was just like Mom would make it! Simple but delicious! It was like stepping back in time to the good ole seasoned grill days!! The food was tasty and our waitress was sweet! We would highly recommend it and will definitely be repeat customers!!“

“We were so happy to see a good restaurant in Lamar! I liked the Max Chophouse name having grown up in Lamar and its reference to the Maxwell House where we went out to eat as a child. Now if you'll bear with me - I would like to see the dining room be a little more intimate - it felt like we were too spread out. Then, at least in my design world, have the bar at the south end on the Main Street side - so dining on the Main Street north side and an elegant bar on the south. But I do understand that you want the pool table etc - maybe that could stay in back. The entrance could be in a vestibule with the entrance on Main Street. Overall - it's exciting to see this happening!“

“I work at the shop behind the truck stop I been coming in this place since my step mother was the manager of the c store before you left cause she was sick Ashlee shadow and her sister always greet me in the morning and know exactly what I get and if I'm not on a road call at 12 I come in for lunchOnly leaving a one star is the owners need to fix the heater since it's winter time and you can't sit down and have breakfast or lunch or dinner freezing other then that it's a good place“
