We love the Alamo drafthouse. As former austinites, Alamo is a staple and frankly the only theater we’ll attend. The pre-show is always great, the food is good, and the no talking/texting policy ensures a great movie-going experience.
They even have baby day screenings where regular movies are baby friendly. We love love love Alamo and wish there were more locations!
I’ve loved the Alamo for a long time. Tonight was my first truly bad experience. One of the servers accidentally spilled half a drink in my lap at the start of the movie. He was very apologetic and accidents happened. No worries. But I had to step out of the movie to try to dry things off, then spent the rest of the two hours soaked to my skivvies. I expected some sort of gesture (bill-wise) and instead was just charged the full bill for everything with no comps. At the price point this place is at now for a movie night with the family, and the general move to just watch movies at home, I’d expect more.
Love that they do unique movie programs like their month of samarai. Good menu. Chicken tenders are delicious. They used to have an awesome green chile sauce that came with them they need to put back with the tenders. Great pretzel too
Great date night. Good food.
The best way to watch movies!
Definitely a great experience to see a movie. Having servers come to your seat is a game changer
Absolutely loved taking my kids to the Alamo. The service was exceptional. The menu is great for kids and adults. The seats recline and each have a table and cup holders which is great for littles. We attended a kid friendly movie. I would suggest bringing earplugs or hear muffs the audio was very loud for my kids even during the kid's time. Also I brought blankets for them. I was glad we had them. It was a little chilly. Overall it was a great experience for my kids and me.
It's my first time going. It was actually pretty cool. Still got to get used to the whole servers walking in and out thing while you're watching a movie but it wasn't too distracting. The food was all right.
It’s great in every way but the food. Wayyyy overpriced. Don’t eat there. $4 for a tiny side salad (substituted for fries). Pulled pork sandwich was a joke. Had about 2 tablespoons of meat on a bun (mostly sauce) for $15. Ridiculous. Fish and chips is greasy and breading is doughy.
Chairs reclined and are very comfortable - food and drink are very nice to compliment any movie

Always a great place to eat and see awesome movies! Just a great venue.
Love this theater. Great food and the place is always clean. The service is pretty fast and I love that you can order food from your seat. I also enjoy the receipts in this theater recline. I'll be back.
Always slaps, great service (and this one has power recliners wooooo)
Food was better than I expected it to be. The theater was clean and the staff were friendly.
Great to cinema but very easy to turn it into an expensive night out
