The steak and egg and chile burrito was on point. Chile was hot without being unbearable. Steak wasn’t chewy. Eggs were perfect. It wasn’t 99% potato and 1% other. It was 100% steak, egg, chile. Perfect. The horchata. Im not gonna spoil it. Go ask rocky for some horchata. Just trust me. He also had me sample a berry smoothie thing. I’m a fitness professional. That no sugar berry smoothie was very much needed and perfectly balanced. Lastly. The tamale. Idk if I have ever had such perfectly wrapped, moist, spicy, delicious food in my life. I will have haunting dreams of this tamale. 10/10 will be back.”

Though it became a running joke throughout my drive thru experience on the barista having an off day, I ended up with one of my drinks being pikes extremely hot coffee, instead of a white mocha. Big difference, had to park and go inside to get the correct drink. Being disabled, I drove a few miles for the drive thru and ended up having to lug myself and medical equipment inside. The original coffee was so hot, it burned the roof of my mouth for the entire day. Not a gripe, we all gave off days, just a fair review.”

We had an uncomfortable situation recently. we have two kids under 4. We recently were there when a guy was very vocal about being frustrated that a family was at a bar. Tara immediately jumped in to educate him that yes it’s a bar but also a family restaurant. They are always accommodating and make us feel comfortable. This place has amazing service, food, staff and is a staple in our neighborhood.”

“The thing that should impress anyone the most at Corvus are their baristas. Sure, their coffee is absolutely top notch. But when I went in to take advantage of a deal on bags of beans, one of their baristas noticed and took the initiative to come over and walk me through their options. We talked coffee roasts for a bit and then he offered me a free sample to help me decide which bag I would like best. He even talked me through how their fancy pour over machine in the picture works.
The coffee is excellent (as implied by the prices on their bags of beans) but the service makes me want to come back again and again because I know I will definitely be getting my money's worth.”

“New store on Remington. Great service very friendly staff bent over backwards for us to support a large party even though they were in the middle of a Grand Opening! My Daughter got nuts and tried to keep pizza warm in the oven as guest were late and caught box and pizza on fire. Marcos team made us another one at no charge!!! They are a welcomed store in the neighborhood and we will surely use them for now on!!!! Meat pizza was had generous amount of toppings!!! Delicious! My entire party loved the eats!!! Regards Rick”

“Coming from the New York Metro, I grew up with diners. Having lived elsewhere in the country, I discovered that they are rare when you leave that area.
I moved to Denver, assuming that real diners were behind me. Then we discovered Gunther Toody's. Oh joy! Bliss!
The rules of a true diner include 1. Breakfast all day.
2. Comfort foods, like burgers and meatloaf. This isn't a place that offers kale. And that is a good thing.
We decided to take advantage of the diner rules. My daughter ordered a half order of biscuits with sausage gravy. And Beignets. The raspberry, which came with a side of chocolate dipping sauce.
We took a booth by the Harley, and our waitress was wonderful. I ordered a burger with Swiss and mushrooms, and asked for mashed instead of fries.
And coffee.
I am a fussy about my coffee. No Starbucks for me. I brew my own at home with a coffee press, thanks. And I don't expect much when I eat out. But my java addiction is strong, so I asked for coffee.
First test...5 stars.
Fresh, just strong enough and no burnt overtones. I believe I downed three cups of their perfect brew.
The biscuits and gravy were fantastic. My daughter made happy sounds.
The Beignets were perfect. Fresh, light and the best compliment to the dipping chocolate. (I had one myself. The angels sang!)
Now let's talk about the burger. My inner carnivore was primed for beef. I should explain that all burgers are NOT created equal. I am a fan of In and Out, but fast food Burgers have truly dulled our senses to what a truly fine burger can be.
I took a cautious bite.
Omg.
I am not sure what they do. But it was delicious, and fresh and a perfect combo.
A truly fine burger needs no condiments. I ate this one just as it came. The mashed were wonderful to, with brown gravy on the side.
So good!
The prices were reasonable.
The service was lovely.
Absolutely worth a visit.
