“omg we absolutely loved everything! we tried various items since it was our first time. the staff was so wonderful and very helpful with any questions. the hummus is the best!! My favorite hummus now. the portions are a great size on the entrees and everything is seasoned to perfection! even the lentil soup....I had no idea lentil soup could be that good. this place deserves to be way more packed than it is. it looks worn on the outside but the food is too good to not keep going back. 10/10 I definitely recommend!“

“Stumbled upon this place after my stomach was arguing with me for lunch and noticed a 9.99 large pepperoni pizza 12’ and how could you not get someone in the door with such a good deal? Incredible vibe inside, but let’s get to the good part, the pizza!! Originally from Milwaukee/chicago so I know a good pie when I try it and would, on certain days, consider myself a pizza connoisseur, but this one takes the cake hands down. I tried a few other “Chicago style” pizza places, and they don't give the justification this pizza gives. Incredible cheese pull; I could chug a gallon of the pizza sauce by itself if I had a chance. The pepperoni was amazing, of course, and my oh my did I have an amazing experience. I instantly thought to myself, this chef must come from Chicago or somewhere in the Midwest, and sure enough, he was! Corey, you’re the man, bro! I’ll be back and can’t wait to have other people try it.“

“We went to Shondiz last night for dinner and it was excellent. We were served barley soup (ashe joh) when we first got there and it was the best I ever had. I ordered mast-o-mousir to start and it did not disappoint. My husband ordered zereskh polo with chicken and I had the juheh kebab. Both meals were great. The owner Mohammed came out to talk to us and he was really friendly. We will definitely be back!“

The food was delicious and the atmosphere was awesome. 2000's pop punk was looping through the speakers and the walls were covered in murals of the same era. The custom drinks were also amazing. Perfect spot to hit up before a Fiddlers Green show or just to catch up with friends. 10/10 would recommend!“

The chicken that came with the salad was delish, and all the vegetables were super-fresh and also delish. Both Jason and Alex were consummate professionals and management should know that, despite me waving cash in their faces (in an obnoxious way, as only a gyro-meat-deprived customer might do), they REFUSED to accept my offer of a gratuity and, instead, encouraged me to return soon. “Wish I could give this place 10 stars. I got into an accident right in front of here on a cold January night and ended up having to wait 3 hours for the police to show up, and then another hour on top of that for the tow truck. The staff was AMAZING and let me sit here for a total of 4 hours until I was finally able to leave when the tow truck came. Since my car was totaled, there was no way for me to sit in it and wait for hours, so I don’t know what I would’ve done if they hadn’t been so gracious and sheltered me from the cold. The staff was extremely nice to me and really calmed me down after the whole experience. I was a complete crying wreck and the guys there went out of their way to make me feel better. They even offered me a free drinks while I was there! I can’t thank them enough! It really restores your faith in humanity. I hope to get back there someday soon to leave whoever’s working a big tip, to try and pay back some part of the overwhelming kindness I received that night!“

Tonight we ordered two chicken shawarma wraps, the salad, and fries. Making a shawarma this good is a craft - the meat perfectly roasted, expertly seasoned, and the wrap charred to perfection. Everything made here is prepared with incredible care. And it’s not just the food, the owner is also very genuine and hospitable. When we arrived tonight to pick up our order, the owner gave us two fresh falafels to try with hummus (just because!) and they were the best falafel I have ever tried. On a previous occasion, I’ve seen him give out waters to some unhoused people passing by. Do yourself a favor and make the trip to ShiiSh.“
