This place used to have great diner food. Sadly, the quality just wasn't there. The grilled cheese my kiddo had was way over toasted, yet somehow the cheese wasn't melted. It was hard as a rock. The burger buns were over toasted and really just not a great quality. The shakes are still awesome. Also, the servers are really kind, just a bummer that the old fashioned quality diner food just wasn't to par.

I ordered take out and ordered chicken fried steak, they said about 10 minutes i came back in about 12 minutes later and totally ignored?Didnt tell me how much longer?I had brought my dog and was kinda in a hurry, luckily I had someone with me to keep an eye on my pooch.but here I am 20 minutes later and still no food or any word from staff?if I would have not paid beforehand I would have just left and went to kings soopers and made my own for how long this is taking. It takes approximately 8 minutes at most to deep fry a peice of chicken fried steak and I only ordered mashed potatoes for a side.pretty easy stuff!! It now has been 25 minutes and still no word or anything?there are 5 staff people huddled in the corner just talking and not even busy.where is my food?So I will never come back here again.this is my 1st and last time here.pretty disgusted with the service ,hopefully the food will be good? It's been 30 minutes now and finally a staff member said a few more minutes.so in total it took over 35 minutes to order a very easy take out dinner.like I said I could have made my own quicker than it took to come try this place out.pretty bad stuff never seen anything like this before

gunther toodys a 50s diner has been around for some 33 years here in the denver metro area and remember the arvada location well. i decided to try and make a trip out there today as kids eat free on a monday. the ladies were super friendly pointing to a table and telling me to go ahead and sit and were very accomodating when i told them we needed a table and then letting us wait for my parents to show up. i did notice the napkins were empty. but my kids happily colored with triangular crayons (thank you)!
any comfort food you could want is here mashed potatos? got em ..meatloaf you betcha... hamburgers fries and a shake yep. the best part of this place is clement park is just a short walk away. the only hang up i got is the kids eat free is an adult has to be bought for a kids free meal. it doesn't do well for single parents with 2 or more kids.

I have to start off by saying that Bobby Jo is a gift to the nation. Her charm whimsy and delightful attitude really charmed the pants off of my family! She deserves at least six raises! We loved her spunk and her personality and her interactiveness with our sweet baby girl. She gave great recommendations and she did not let us down for one minute. She checked on us often and made sure that our experience was over the moon! Will be sure to visit again and we hope that by the time we come back, Bobby Jo is promoted to the tip top

I always love when going out to eat, not only does it have good food, but a good and unique experience as well. I went in with my grandparents, and our server was Bobby Jo. She told us the history of the place, and my grandparents left smiling. I recommend going

The atmosphere and food is amazing! Such a throwback and simply delightful place to sit and have a delicious meal.

My toast was a little well done, but nothing I couldn’t look past with the delicious country fried stake and absolutely phenomenal hash browns.

The portions are huge, so bring an empty stomach!

We had breakfast here a couple of times and dinner this week on vacation. Best food in town by far. Service was excellent and the vibe was way cool. I highly recommend this dinner and it should have been on dinners drive ins and dives for sure
