Los Portales Mexican Restaurant

We are very excited that they added a patio this summer. This is probably our favorite Mexican restaurant, but we rarely went because we couldn't bring our dog. The patio is a game changer for us. And the brunch (and everything else we've had) was delicious! Even though they're just off Santa Fe, it's very quiet and peaceful.

First time here, I will definitely be going back. Wonderful location, great ambiance inside. The service was wonderful; greeted as soon as I walked in, quick to take my drink order and arrived soon after - their Paloma was so refreshing! The salsa had great flavor, just the right amount of spice. Shrimp fajitas were excellent, veggies perfectly cooked; beans and rice were tasty. Again, I can't get over how great the service was!

It's truly authentic! The atmosphere is welcoming and the staff is even more! There's different specials daily. Most importantly when you walk in you feel you're at home but do not need to worry about washing dishes or if the kids didn't like your cooking.

I have been coming here since this location opened, absolutely amazing service every time I come in, super amazing food, always leaving here with a smile on my face. Los Portales is the only restaurant I will order a molcajete from because it’s just absolutely Top notch. Thank you guys for doing what you do.

Dining in has been fine. The last 3 times I've ordered takeout, though, the contents were thrown in the box without any care. The tostadas I ordered to go were terrible looking, and the tostada shell was actually soggy. Next time I ordered a smothered bean burrito which was skimpy on the green chile and the toppings. Just today the carnitas street tacos were hastily assembled and not appealing to the eye. The taste was good, though. I won't get carry out here anymore. Three strikes and you're out.

Awesome bloody Mary's. Been coming here for over a year and each time the food is just as good as the last. Watch out though, everything is spicy.

Great salsa! Ordered a frozen margarita which was Soooooo not frozen.... Got the chile Colorado which said it's broiled bone in pork... There was definitely no bone and all I got was 4 lil pieces of pork on a big empty plate. My friend got a smothered burrito and said the green chili was good so maybe I just ordered the wrong thing but definitely was a sub par performance. If I head back I'll try something different and adjust
