One of the best breakfast spots you can find in Denver Metro. The creole breakfast with poached eggs, half jalapeño cheesy grits, and half potatoes is to die for!!! I also love the lavender latte. Highly recommend Luciles to anyone looking for a LA style breakfast!

My husband and I have been searching the Denver food scene for creative, delicious, and unique breakfast spots. We’re major foodies who crave culture & flavor. This is hands down, our new favorite place!!! The building was so cool! There was even a waiting area with couches and kids toys. It felt like an old church or home from the south. It was homie and the staff were very personable.
Daniel was our server— he was very sweet, down to earth and took the time to learn our names/shake our hands. It’s been a while since we’ve had a server that embodied southern hospitality; the place was hopping, and he had every reason to be too busy for us. I got the Eggs Jennifer on a biscuit and my husband ordered the Cajun Omelette with half grits, half potatoes. We are very excited to explore their menu in the coming months.

Lucille's is a fine place to go for breakfast or brunch. Not great, but satisfying.

The beignets are hot and tasty. The juice is fresh-squeezed. The chai is on the sweet side. The entrees and sandwiches are fresh and good-sized, but, frankly, underseasoned -- tasting more of their (good) component parts than a unified dish.

Service was friendly and very good -- there were a couple of bobbles in what was brought out, but they were immediately fixed, no problem.

The ambience at this Lucille's is a bit meh -- not much creole/cajun feel to it -- but the space was comfortable, and there's a large inside waiting area for the (very long) lines. (We arrived at Noon on a Sunday; were told it would be 45 minutes; it ended up more like 30.)

Net-net, I won't object to going to this Lucille's again if our friends suggest it, but it's a bit of a drive, and quite a bit of a wait, and honestly there are breakfast places I like more, so I won't rush right out to return, either.

Lucile's is a Colorado staple. I think there's like half a dozen in the Denver area. I could go there just for the biscuits and chicory alone! Weekends get a little crazy so I try to frequent it during the week.

I love that they serve breakfast all day. I wish the pancakes came in more of a breakfast style- add bacon/ potatoes / fresh fruit without having to add all separately. Service was slow especially since it wasn’t busy. Wasn’t a fan of their cinnamon tea.

Few GF choices for me. My wife said that the beignets were a little disappointing.

The biscuits and gravy are really good!

Sadly, the beignets were not fresh. Of course, we got there around 1:00, just an hour before closing time, so that may have had something to do with it. But, nothing like the ones I had at La Monde in NOLA at all!

The staff is wonderful! We had a good time!

Lucile’s Creole Café still delivers some of the best food around—and they do it fast. The biscuits are huge and buttery, the Cajun Bloody Mary packs the perfect kick, and the grits are creamy and full of flavor.

Consistently delicious with that warm, Southern-style charm, it’s no wonder this spot remains a local favorite.
