The gal behind the counter was the epitome of service with a smile. She was so friendly, courteous, and very polite. The food was on point. Highly recommend.

Good sandwiches - always fresh and well made! Only complaint is that they are not open until 3:30 am as the hours on yelp state. They usually are not open for dinner, but it is a great lunch spot!

I recently visited the Old Fashioned Italian Deli and had a delightful experience. The meatball sub was a true standout, boasting flavorful, perfectly seasoned meatballs complemented by a rich marinara sauce. The combination of fresh, crusty bread and melted cheese added to the overall satisfaction. The ambiance of the restaurant, coupled with friendly service, made it a memorable Italian dining experience.

My family are from old school, Italian Denver. Not much reminds me of those times anymore but the OFD definitely does. Straightforward, old school Italian deli with fresh breads and meat. And as a side note and a fellow Italian, I absolutely love and am humored by the owner's responses to reviews on here. My kind of people. Fanculo a loro.

Could be one of the most uninteresting vegetarian sandwiches I’ve ever had in my life.

By far the best sandwhich I've ever had in my life. This place is incredible and the service and family behind it are lovely. Will 110% be coming back as much as I can to eat their amazing food and support a family run business!

Delicious! Can't believe how much meat they put on your sandwich! Very generous portions. I also updated the hours. Monday through Saturday 11 am - 1:30 pm and closed Sunday. Love to support local businesses. Actually have been coming here since 1998. Gosh that makes me sound old. Anyway, good sandwiches. I personally like THE GODFATHER. Go in, and check out this awesome sandwich shop.

I ordered a hot sub today after trying to come in for months based on the reviews and my preference not to frequent chain restaurants, flavors worked very well together and were excellent overall, the bread was perfect. As mentioned in a few ither posts, serving size was smaller than I'd expect for around $15 for a sandwich (yes with tax and I always tip), no sides ordered. In reviewing other reviews post-visit, I'm noticing for the reviewers showing photos, the sandwich is served on a salad/dessert plate, NOT a dinner plate. Pleasant older restaurant environment. The signs warning not to touch the hats surprised me but I presume they've had issues with that in the past. I'm a Chicagoan until moving to the Denver area 20 years ago, can't comment about how the experience or sandwich quality was relative to NYC or the East Coast, my rating would be broken down as 4-5 for quality of sandwich, 2-3 for quantity of meat/ size of sandwich, 5 for customer service, bringing me to 3-4 overall.

While in town we and stumbled across this little place. Nothing fancy going on, but what is going on are some delicious hoagies - really good. Seriously. Ordered an Italian beef and meatball hoagies to go, it was a little warm inside for our liking (we are always hot though) The Italian beef with the works - Giardiniera, green peppers, onions, au jus soaked bun, it was easily one of the best sandwiches I’ve had. Meatball hoagie was right up there as well. The meatballs we great, sauce and cheese. Really good. Throw some chips in a plastic baggie on the side was awesome for me. Probably won’t get sandwiches this good until I’m in Chicago or NYC again.
