Excellent food and you can't go wrong with cheese whiz on the philly

Food was good, classic fast food phillys, but the place itself is gross. Sticky tables, stained walls, soda machine looks like it needs a good scubbing...hard to look at while you're chowing down. Staff was friendly enough but they need an extra person or something to clean.

The service was offputting. The atmosphere was horrible. The customer service definitely needs help and the portions are so small. I deserve a refund. I didn’t get any meat in my sandwich. That was bread. Complete waste of money.

Sunday afternoon, 4:00 pm. Only two customers eating inside. Young man comes out to take our To- Go order fairly promptly. We order 4 originals w/ Extra Meat, and 4 chips plus some wiz on the side. With a 20% tip, it runs me almost a HUNDO. We're not new customers....we're not new to Taste Of Philly. We usually frequent the one off County Line, but will hit this one when in the area. So needless to say, we know an Extra Meat/ Double Meat sandwich when we get one. Well we definitely did not get them this time. The sandwiches weren't Bad...but most certainly were not the Extra we paid for, and tipped on. Only two guys working, and our order was the only active order, till we were leaving. You frequent a place enough, and you get a real good idea what's in the bag, when you lift the bag. as I said, the young guy working the front, was pleasant. I just hope he didn't have to split the tip with the sandwich maker.... that guy is making this store look Bad!!

I went to Taste of Philly on 8th street today been here before but today I went in and ordered 3 cheesesteaks and 2 cheese fries for my order. When they brought I order over to the table I informed the young woman that this wasn’t what I ordered. She was like oh ok I can get it remade. I said thanks and to confirm it was 3 cheesesteaks and 2 cheese fries and she started to walk away then came back to the table and assaulted me because she didn’t understand what I was ordering. She proceeded to cry, scream at me and get in my face. I stood up and backed away. The manager came out and said she was a minor and I said what does that have to do with my order being wrong? I didn’t understand where the problem came in she brought it out, it was wrong said she would be make it again then decided to assault me. Ended with Colorado Springs police coming viewing cameras and her admitting she over reacted and assaulted me. The police ticketing her and she has now has a court date. My daughter, wife and I had food all over us from her throwing it. Was an awful experience, wouldn’t recommend and won’t be back. Just be careful, guess some of their employees are one wrong order away from snapping.

Lobby was a bit questionable, but as a food service worker, it was passable and not the worst I've seen by far.
We came in at around 1-2 pm on a Sunday, 2 sandwiches and we were in and out in 10 mins max!
Parking: If the spots in front are full, there's more space in the strip parking lot 👍

you buy a 12” sandwich you get 8” of meat 2” of bread at one end and 2” on the other end. Sounds like the Subway scandal buy a 12” get a 8” last time I buy.

I ordered delivery today my usual method when i eat here and this used to be one of the best philly cheesesteak places in denver. The delivery was fast she arrived early and everything was warm but the quality has gone down so much. The grease has been stale the last few times I've ordered from here so everything fried food tastes like old grease and they never let the grease drip off before putting it in a bag so everything gets soggy and disgusting before you get the chance to look at it. Today's onion rings were a soggy stale mess that clumped together in a blob we air fried them to salvage them but it made the whole house smell like stale grease. I remember when these used to be the best sloppy Phillies in town but now the portions are so small you bearly get any meat to bread ratio and if you want to taste cheese you better order extra. This time was especially criminal and I will never be back everything was disgusting.

The food is amazing! They have the balance down of checking in to make sure you’re ok and letting you eat in peace. Physical place isn’t the cleanest but is passable.
