Being a country girl, I really loved the idea of this restaurant. But as soon as I sat down and looked around at the wall decor, I realized why they didn't have the crowd I thought they would have on a Saturday morning... "stand for the flag, kneel for the cross" was one. Might as well put a 3 K hood up there. Because these white people know exactly why people of color kneeled during the national anthem. Disappointment and disgust. Religion and politics is probably the last thing you should put as decor in your restaurant. It's screams: I CAN'T GET ALONG WITH ANYONE DIFFERENT THAN ME.
The breakfast was alright. Not what I was hoping for in a potentially cool place.

This is one of the best places to eat at. We came in for a late dinner and everything from the Steaks to the Burgers were absolutely delicious and so tender and juicy. Each steak was cooked to perfection as the burgers. 100/100 would come here again. Amazing Staff so attentive and very polite.

Kid-friendliness: They have a great selection of foods for kids.

Loved the atmosphere. The waitress was good. The food was dissapointing. The burgers were over cooked and the fries were soggy on all 3 orders.

Went to Cattleman's for our anniversary, we had never been but heard good things, but alas, it was not to be.... Had a reservation, arrived on time, but they said they thought we were coming at another time though we had confirmed two text notifications for our reserved time. Strike 1.

We went to the small bar area to have a drink and wait. Low & behold the only wine they have comes in a box, though they advertise different well known and respected brands on their website. The bartender explained that they needed to update the website admitting the menus and drink menus aren't accurate. Your a steakhouse that reportedly cuts your meat daily, you should have at least a couple bottled house wines. Strike 2

We get seated and our waitress came over and took our appetizer and drink order and then disappeared, well technically she hung out over near the host stand. Our appetizer arrived about 5 minutes before our drink order came. Strike 3

Highlight of the night: The bacon wrapped creme cheese jalapenos were by far and away the best part of the evening. This is why they get an overall two stars....

I ordered the 10 oz ribeye and my wife the filet. We both asked for medium rare as she said my ribeye would be about an inch thick. I also asked for blackened on the steak. Neither cdme out medium rare and my ribeye was a long slab about a 1/2" thick with little marbling typical of a good ribeye. Her filet was a firm end piece akin to a sirloin. Neither was medium rare. The ribeye was stuccoed in done type of Cajun mix instead of truly being blackened. I ate about half of mine after scraping a lot of the dust off and my wife the same. Strike 4

Meanwhile I had ordered a second beer when the meal came and it arrived around the time I was finishing up dinner as Courtney had wandered off again.

When it came time for the check she brought it out and said that she'd come get it when we were ready. I put my card on the holder in plain sight at the edge of the table but it can't be seen from across the room when your socializing.

At this point it was a game to see how bad it would get as she did make it to the booth next us and sitting in plain sight never made a move to come to our table or even a second glance.

Finally we got up and walked to the host stand and paid there. Strike 5

I watched our 'server' at two other tables and it was the same routine of the appetizers arriving before the drinks in those occasions. Keep in mind that there wasn't really a line out the door or heavy bar activity.

So we end up being out $100 for a mediocre meal with equally mediocre service.

Lesson learned.

This was the second visit to the Cattlemen’s. Service staff friendly and attentive. Food was very good.

Parking: Would be helpful to have better signage directing to turn in to street and parking area. Especially for people not familiar with the area. Otherwise there is plenty of parking.
