“THIS! Is the place to go for food in Fruita. Ok. To be fair this is the only place I have eaten in Fruita but compared to other chicken places this place is something special. The chicken is battered just before it is cooked. It is piping hot 18 Mins later when it hits the table. Be careful it's hot, seriously. The breading is awesome and unique.Don't think it's just chicken. The owner is from one of the Carolinas and knows how to make BBQ. Try it.They also do Ice Cream Sundays. I am copying this last review from Yelp and putting on Google Reviews, which is the only platform I will be using in the future.Lots of folks here tonight, which is always a good sign. A friend of mine recommended this place highly.I would say this is the best Mexican I have had in the Grand junction area. Last spring I spent quite a bit of time, here, and sampled every Mexican restaurant. If my memory serves, Fiesta Guadalajara is the best of the bunch.I had a fiesta platter. It was quite good and very large. , and I highly recommend it. The Mariscos especial were excellent. Wrapped in bacon. Everything's good with bacon right?The Pollo asado on the platter was outstanding. Very flavorful and cooked perfectly. It was the flavor highlight of the dish.It also had Carne Asado. The platter came with several pieces of carnet on the side, which were very dried out and frankly, they tasted a bit like beef jerky. Over cooked. Somebody in the kitchen must've realized this, because a few minutes later, out came another plate with some freshly cooked Carne and perfectly prepared. So I have nothing to complain about, since I had two servings, but I just wonder why they served the first after recognizing it was an issue?Anyway, nothing to complain about here. Great service, delicious food and standard American Mexican food ambianceBottom line: I'll be back again, anytime in the area!”

It's unfortunate that some may have experienced a bad time but I ate here two days in a row for supper, back to back, because it's really the best Mexican food I've had in a lot of years in Colorado. The staff is a bit awkward but only because they don't know how to take the patrons sometimes, the cultural gap in this area can be intimidating. The staff here is extremely kind and attentive if you yourself are polite and attentive, I'm very happy with the whole establishment from food to customer service, I highly recommend and I'll frequent the place any time I'm in Fruita! Only issues are it can be a tad pricey and the shop in Fruita is pretty small with limited seating.PS. Beware the Cesar salad dressing can have a strong anchovy flavor. It’s not bad, just not everyone likes strong flavors.Vegetarian options: I typically prefer pizza with meats, however, they have a wide variety of vegetarian options and the ones I’ve tried so far have been pretty good.Parking: High traffic times may make finding a parking spot”
