Everything was excellent. Ordered edamame, karaage, and ramen and loved all of it. They have a large selection of Japanese beverages. The atmosphere took me back to living in Japan and the service was excellent. This will be my go-to. I can’t wait to try the rest of the menu.

I went there 2 weeks ago. I ordered a dish to go after I ate at the restaurant to take home to my kids. I made it very clear that it can not be spicy. The server confirmed w/ the chef that it would not be spicy. I get home serve it to my kids and it's super spicy. I asked the restaurant for refund they wouldn't give me a refund. I was told they would replace the meal. I went in for the replacement a few days later. I was told by the server that I should NOT expect my order to be correct if its a busy night??!! WHAT? And that's why my order was spicy. Completely gaslighting me. The replacement vegetarian Ramen was gross and had no taste to it. Disappointed.

Four out of five people in my party (myself included) were violently ill within 48 hours of our visit to Shin Yuu Izakaya. Despite the delay, there’s no doubt this was the location that caused it since that was the one time that night we the same room eating the same meal together. The only other place we visited that evening was Sweet Cow for individual servings. There were plenty of other people at SC so I think we would’ve seen reviews by now if they had caused the sickness. Also, the lychee martini basically just felt like vodka with some syrup in it, which is kind of ridiculous for an expensive cocktail… Made me wonder if there was a new 99 Lychee liqueur on the market. It was painfully strong in a way that reminded me of when I didn’t know how to make drinks in college.

Service was great. The food tasted great, but ultimately I have never been sicker in my entire life. Symptoms were vomiting, fever and stomach pain. I had no respiratory issues at all. I eat a lot of sushi and never have experienced such a shock.

Cozy atmosphere, wonderful service. Delicious sushi and apps made by cool dudes even though we came in an hour before close. Loved it

Remember... Always...

I am in the process of trying to bring everyone I know here. We have been to several other Japanese inspired places but the food here is as close to what we were eating when we were visiting Japan. The people are friendly and the service is quick. The food is delicious. This is definitely one of my new go to places.

Ordered takeout. Soup and edamame were cold. The edamame texture was unappealing. Skimpy portions. Small, poorly wrapped rolls. Packed in styrofoam! Will not be ordering again.

Our first visit was lovely : ) We were lookin for vegan options (of which there were very few). The veggie gyoza were fantastic, all in presentation, texture & flavor. The vegetable ramen was equally awesome— bamboo like I’d never had, the thin tofu totally mouth-watering… very impressive ♥️🙏 We’ll make the trek from Longmont for the occasional special occasion 😊

Yakitori was overcooked, and the rice for the sushi wasn't prepared properly.
