I don't usually leave reviews, but the treatment my two friends and I received at Menchie's tonight was downright appalling. We walked in 15 minutes before closing--well within operating hours--and were immediately met with sighs, eye-rolls, and passive-aggressive comments from the staff, as if we were some kind of burden for wanting frozen yogurt at a FROZEN YOGURT SHOP.
Newsflash: If your store hours say you close at 10 PM, that means you're open until 10 PM. Not 9:45. We weren't lingering. We weren't being loud or messy. We just wanted a quick dessert--and instead got served a nasty attitude and unwelcoming stares.
If your employees hate their jobs that much, maybe they shouldn't be working in customer service. Just say you don't want customers and close early, or better yet--don't work in food service at all. We left feeling rushed, judged, and unwelcome. Guess what? We'll take our business (and money) somewhere that actually wants it.
Absolutely unacceptable. Won't be returning.
We came in pretty near closing time but the workers were all super sweet! They took time to reassure us that we were welcome even though it was so late, even though they were doing things like cleaning tables and sweeping and doing something with the yogurt machines. They promised us that we would be able to get whatever we wanted and we wouldn’t need to rush anything.
The girls were also obviously friends with each other which was super sweet to see. Too many stores don’t want their employees to have any personality other than Customer Service, so it was refreshing to see the staff here feel comfortable to talk about music and joke around with one another. Especially as they were also very nice to us when we checked out. We will definitely visit again!
Best place around for frozen yogurt super nice peole highly recommended!!!!
Edit: The owner took time to call. She was kind and understanding. I appreciate that she does seem to care. It is a busy place and perhaps I caught it at the worst time.
This place is filthy. Everywhere you look was messes and melted ice cream. I didn’t even get toppings because it was a disaster. So gross! We finally found a bench that had a couple clean spots to sit. There were 3 girls standing around when there was melted cups of ice cream on the ground and every table is covered in messes. I won’t be back. I wouldn’t have bought one thing if my grand daughter had not been with us and so excited to have ice cream with toppings. This is simply unbelievable. I should have taken pics!
Me and my friends come every night! This place never disappoints!!
My favorite froyo spot!
Fave treat shop around! Staff is always so kind and accommodating. The flavors are vibrant and fresh! Even when ordering delivery, the order is always generous and we always get a :) which is a sweet touch. Their limited/new blueberry pomegranate flavor is 100/10
YUMM, I love this place 😋 sooo good
My three sons and I were very impressed with the fully stocked selection of toppings! I enjoy sitting inside at the tables (good family time.) We go to Menchie’s froyo after In-N-Out, even if we had a milkshake with our meal. 😄 😋
They sell Birthday Cakes and cutely packaged froyo accessories (good for a gift on the go.)
We had a little situation with the birthday cake and the manager went out of her way to make it right. We are customers for life.
I’m a little unsure of why it made the clerk almost cry that i asked for a smaller cup to take some toppings. My guess is that they’ve been yelled at by management for giving out small cups. I totally understand that everything is by weight, Im not trying to get anything for free, I just don't like to be wasteful. I didn’t dare ask for lids for my yogurt that I’m taking home for my sick child. I hope the clerk has a better day and gets a job they like.

The frozen yogurt is very good. The sorbets are very good. It's always fun to see what different flavors they have and mix and match the toppings. Can't complain about that. During the day, it's usually not too crowded, and easy enough to serve yourself and enjoy. But then when you go to pay, the credit card machine comes up and asks for a tip - like so many other places these days. C'mon, the customer does ALL the work. For the tip, there should be a percentage discount, not add money to my bill.
