Senor Rafael at the Mexican Inn

An OK but not great local place, the kind that feels like it was probably the best in town 30 years ago. The green and red chile were both brown country gravy flavored mostly with black pepper, something you'd expect to find on biscuits rather than burritos. The chile relleno was a mini soggy chimichanga with a slice of poblano in the middle.
We were never offered a drink menu, but I saw a beer and margarita on the way out, so they probably have a bar?

The green chili tasted like flour, and was as white as flour. blah.

These were the best tamales ever! And the service was excellent! Make sure to ask for Cheryl (although all the servers were very friendly); she was great!

This is really good food and you definitely get what you pay for. Best in loveland for sure. Friendly staff and it's clean.

I really wanted to enjoy my time here, but the experience was pretty lackluster. The service felt slow and inattentive, making me wait quite a while just to get a basic order placed. The food itself was unfortunately quite bland and lukewarm by the time it finally reached the table, so it left me feeling pretty disappointed overall.

A historic Mexican restaurant in Loveland. Will always be one of my favorites. Food is always great.

If your looking for authentic Mexican, keep looking! Ground beef tastes funky. Great staff, terrible food.

I've had more flavor at taco bell
Very dry hamburger in a tortilla with dry rice with no flavor and dried out beans

Took 20 minutes to even take our drink order. Ordered the taco salad only thing it was corn chips,hamburger, lettuce& melted cheese. Other customers were noisy. Just all around bad experience. Never eat there again

It's odd... I have lived in Loveland for 50 years and I have never been to this building. There is nothing that has ever drawn me in the door. Decided to try it out. We were pleasantly surprised. Kinda nifty old school Mexican American atmosphere. Three different experiences to take in. Walk in the door to your right kind of remind you of an old greasy spoon cafe. To the left walk down a little ramp and you're in a bar area with a sunken seating area and fireplace that kind of reminds you of your grandparents old ranch. And then outside is a nice patio area at the time we were here there was a band. Food was good 👍 Kind of Tex-Mex. Sitting there enjoying iced tea and a Pepsi waiting for our food there was only a few people in the area we were sitting but there was hundreds of cars outside. We couldn't really figure out what was going on because there had to been 10 servers running around and that's when we went exploring. Definitely going to go back prices were great service was friendly.

Least authentic Mexican restaurant south of Canada. The horchata tasted like unfermented rice wine, the pork chile was like canned chicken barely microwaved in the gelatinous mucous it was canned in, and the enchiladas are full of unseasoned ground beef dry enough to make you double check whether they remembered the sauce. The quesadilla was okay. At least one of the servers was nice, but the other one kept looking at us like we had bugs on our heads.

A “tacorito” being the advertised specialty is the whitest sounding meal I’ve ever heard of, but I’m curious enough of what that is I looked it up. Found a paper in the 60’s saying the recipe calls for a teaspoon of seasoning every pound of meat. Sounds about right.
