I am writing this review on behalf of my parents who visited Marigold for their anniversary. I made the reservation for them noting that they would be celebrating their anniversary. I also provided my credit card to be used for payment. Surprisingly, no one at Marigold acknowledged their anniversary or asked if they were celebrating anything. And the credit card required to make the reservation was not used as payment.
Based on their experience, the most positive comment I can share is that that they were seated at a cozy corner table.
They had the prix fixe menu (the only option for the end of 2025). The had two options for the first course and chose the gougeres with truffle because the other option with red snapper was six days old. Humorously, their server told them that the red snapper had been 'flown in fresh on Saturday' (and the day they went was Friday, December 26). The gougeres (translation: savory French cheese puffs) were dry and flavorless.
The other courses were equally mediocre. My mom shared that she had trouble keeping some of the food down. The best course was the grouper (which had been flown in that morning).
Sadly, service was slow and lacking in care. My parents asked a question about one of the entree options which the server went to investigate but never came back with an answer.
The most disappointing aspect of their experience was that no one made mention of their anniversary. At the end of the meal, my parents did mention that they were celebrating their 53rd anniversary and the server didn't acknowledge it. Only a fellow customer spoke to them to ask if they were celebrating something and offered to take their picture.
Due to their underwhelming experience, I do not recommend Marigold. To spend $100 per person (before tax and tip) on a mediocre meal with poor service is illogical. I hope that Marigold was just having an off night due to it being the holiday season.

Top notch food, wonderful service, and interesting wine—definitely worth the drive to Lyons! Fantastic value for the quality.
Marigold Lyons is a smaller, romantic, and chic restaurant tucked away on Main Street in Lyons, and it completely exceeded our expectations. Everything was spotless, the atmosphere was elegant, and the service was spectacular. Our server, Jordan, made sure our dinner was unforgettable, and every single bite of food was a close-your-eyes moment, it’s truly that good. We highly recommend starting with the Carmelle appetizer, and next time I’m absolutely saving room for dessert because nothing here disappoints. The way the staff respectfully and confidently handled my ADA accommodations spoke volumes, not just about their service, but about the culture and character of the entire establishment. We’ve officially found a new favorite local place to eat. 🥰🙌🏻

I have been to the Marigold on many a special occasion and this last one was the best yet. Their chef is always coming up with incredible culinary creations at very fair prices to make a night out amazing. It makes coming back unique each time as the menu is always being updated. Their wine list and knowledge if you like unique white/orange wines, natural wines or light bodied reds is unrivaled in this area.
Eric made our engagement dinner super special, taking my reservation far in advance, getting us a corner table, and selecting some spectacular wines to choose from. Every single dish was delicious, starting off with craft sourdough, their special butter and the best Salami I’ve ever had. Next was some grilled scallops with a parsnip foam and blood orange reduction and the grilled eggplant that was the epitome of savory goodness. The cream sauce rigatoni with rabbit was decadent and then the slow cooked, incredibly spiced cut of wagyu that has been shredded and cooked in a bed of puff pastry was unlike anything I’ve ever had. Desert and decaf espresso 👌Our server Jordan was kind and very personable… I could go on and on about this place..

1000/5 stars. My fiancé and I have loved coming here for any and all occasions and have always been treated so well. The food has always been amazing, inventive and I love that the menu changes with the seasons. The staff takes their time answering our many questions and providing excellent recommendations. Their wine sommelier, Eric, has also been incredible in providing excellent recommendations based on what we’re in the mood for and what we’re ordering. This past dinner experience absolutely blew me away. We had just gotten engaged the morning prior and my fiancé had made reservations here. Then the staff proceeded to make the night so special by congratulating us, playing a special requested song, and providing top notch service that made us feel like we were celebrating with family and friends. Literally brought tears to my eyes and the meal was the best I have ever had.

My husband took me here for our anniversary last week. The ambiance was okay, but the seat that we were sat at was in the middle of two other tables that were very close together. Being a person with hearing loss and noise sensitivity, it was hard to hear and the noise was distracting. I would have liked a quiet, more private, more spacious seating area. The food was tasty. We tried many items on the menu. The lobster mushroom pasta dish was delicious. The chocolate panache and peanut butter foam dessert was outstanding!

The food was delicious! Our server was professional, but gave the vibe that she would rather not be our server. Overall, a decent experience.

My wife and my favorite new date night spot. Some of, if not the BEST food we have had in Colorado. Staff is always very knowledgeable about the menu and wine (which is impressive as things change daily), the environment is great, and it is super easy to get in and out of.
Edit: unfortunately have to knock the 5 stars down to 2 after our last 3 dining experiences in a row. It’s a shame because it is some of our favorite food in Colorado, but the front of house staff just seem annoyed to be there or something. Our server tonight (Madalyn) was actually great, but the other two front of house staff made our entire 4 top feel incredibly uncomfortable and unwelcome. Really strange and passive aggressive behavior over one of the staff dropping an incorrect dish on our table, and another member of the staff having to get us a clean set of plates and silverware.
This isn’t the first time we have felt rushed, uncomfortable, and ultimately just disappointed leaving here, so we probably won’t be back.

One of the very best meals we’ve had in a long time. The menu is interesting and changes frequently, and yet every dish we had was beautifully presented and super flavorful. Our server, Eric, was knowledgeable and a terrific guide through the menu and the wine list. The cocktails were a great way to start a wonderfully well-paced evening. Highly recommend!

One of the better restaurant experiences we've had in a while. The food and wine completely blew us away. What a special experience. Our server Jordan was also spectacular. So knowledgeable of every tiny detail with the menu and the wine. He was very helpful with pairing wine to the food and knocked each recommendation out of the park.

The food is 85% good, there are always some really awesome hits but also usually a miss or two. Menu constantly changes which I appreciate. The wait staff is usually excellent, but sometimes like this past time was not as good at explaining the menu or being attentive between courses. The location is beautiful.

Good gracious I don’t know where to start. The service was out of this world, the food was innovative and unique, and the outside dining was a dream! Marigold’s menu changes every day, using the freshest ingredients! This is a bold move and shows just how passionate they are about creating a menu full of must have dishes you won’t find anywhere else! EVERYTHING we had that evening left us speechless and craving more. Hands down the best restaurant within 30minutes of Boulder if not the Front Range. See ya soon!
