Excellent food, nice choice of beers. Service was friendly but a little bit on the slow side. The food came out fast and was thoroughly delicious. The atmosphere was quiet and enjoyable on a weekday evening. Wish they stayed open just a little later though. I'd definitely go again!
Driving thru Lyons on the way to Estes Park and stopped dinner. Many tables filled but we did get a table next to the acoustic guitar player. Bill Taylor quite a few oldies while we ate dinner. The BBQ wrap and Smokin Philly were good. Sweet tea was not too sweet and was perfect for us!
Food was excellent! We are from KC and would visit again.
Very nice food in good price!
I stop by Dave’s almost every time I go up hill..
Never never disappoints, spot on bbq every time. Stopped in on Sunday and as always were a little busy but definitely worth the wait.
Brisket is my go to and a perfect choice every time. Although my friend had the Mac n chews and man I loved the taste she gave me.
Mac n cheese bowl and brisket on top, oh ya omg it was so good. But I always like others choices haha. Oh and their close slaw is also always perfect, especially with the brisket
Stop if you can you’ll be very pleased
I had the rib platter with mac and cheese and spiced apples. The ribs were tender and full of flavor, the mac and cheese was creamy, and the spiced apples added a nice sweet touch. Everything was well-cooked and satisfying. Our server, May, was wonderful—friendly, attentive, and made the experience even better. I’ll definitely be back.
I've been going to this location for quite a few years now and I'm not sure what happened. The restaurant was freezing inside, but clean and our waitress was nice. We ordered onion rings and they were over cooked on the outside and the batter was still liquid on the inside. Hush puppies were the same over cooked on the outside and raw on the inside, twice. Chicken Fried Steak burnt on the outside too. Everything tasted so bad, I can tell the oil was really old. We're aren't picky people, but couldn't stomach finishing our food and left feeling sick. We did tell the waitress who offered apologies but nothing else. The people behind us were complaining about watered down drinks saying the watched the bartender water them down. We left super disappointed and sick. We will never return.

This place is definitely a place to stop and eat if ever in the area! My family and I were driving from Rocky Mountain National park and were starving so we stopped at the first place we saw and I will say that we do not regret it not one bit!! The waitress was awesome, and the food came out so quick! I got the meatloaf that I highly recommend with Mac and cheese and the mash potatoes! This is definitely a place you do not want to pass on! I promise you will not regret it! 😊❤️ Thank you all for the amazing service ❤️

My lady and I shared a pulled pork sand with fries and it was almost all fat, we ate the bread and meat we could find , paid and left. We live in Niwot Co. We have been there before before and it is now not good.
My wife and I had the opportunity to visit Rocky Mountain National Park, and we stopped by a restaurant on our way.
Upon entering, we were immediately seated as the restaurant wasn’t very busy. Our waitress arrived shortly after we were seated.
Since we weren't very hungry, we decided to split our order and take a plate back to the hotel for later.
We chose the southern fried catfish with mashed potatoes and okra. We enjoyed the catfish, which was lightly breaded and had great flavor—definitely a recommended dish. However, the mashed potatoes were quite bland. They seemed to be made from scratch with red potatoes, but neither of us was particularly fond of them. The okra appeared to be the standard store-bought variety.
For takeout, we ordered a Triple Meat Plate that included pulled pork, brisket, and ribs. We ate this a few hours later. The BBQ was decent; there wasn’t anything negative to mention. All three meats were cooked correctly, which is essential. The flavor was okay, but nothing really stood out.
We both really appreciated the small-town vibe of the restaurant and would recommend it to others.

I had no idea what I was getting into when I picked this restaurant. Turns out to be the best barbecue meal I’ve ever had in my life. Truly exceptional.
