We stopped in for a quick cocktail before we headed back to Colorado Springs. We tried the smoked Old Fashioned and it was amazing. Great atmosphere and the food menu looked amazing. Hoping to come back & stay at the hotel & enjoy a full dinner here.
Our entrees & dessert were very good! I had the pork chop & my husband had the Scallops. Both were great. The reason(s) I didn't give 5 stars: we had a reservation & arrived a couple of minutes before our reservation time to be told there would be a very long wait and we could either sit in the lobby of the hotel (brightly lit and alone right by the entrance and check-in) or sit outside. I asked to take a look at the tables outside. We were walked to the front patio & there were tower heaters & fire pit tables but none of them were lit. This was 7:30 at night on October 5th. Granted it was unseasonably warm, but still not necessarily comfortable. I said if we sit out here, can we have the heater turned on and the hostess said certainly and promptly sat us at a fire pit table right next to a tower heater. Neither our fire pit table nor the tower heater were ever turned on for the duration of our dinner. Our service was very slow, which I don't believe was our waiter's fault as he had quite a long walk to the front porch of the building from the main dining room where I'm sure he was also waiting on tables. We ordered the Caesar salad to get started & it was brought out with literally no dressing. I don't mean a light dressing I mean zero dressing. We sat there for probably 15 minutes before flagging down a different server as we still hadn't seen ours come back, to ask for some dressing for our salad. Once we had our dressing, the salad was enjoyable. I overheard another couple that was also escorted to the patio who had management get involved because they had made a reservation 10 days prior and also been told the same thing we were told that it would be a very long wait & that they could sit outside or wait. They weren't dressed as warmly as we were so they did not last long outside & management did accommodate them at an inside table after she threw a bit of a fit. So just note that because you have a reservation doesn't necessarily mean you do?♀️
I have lived in London, Paris, Barcelona, Brussels, Milan, New York and this restaurant run by chef Marcelo ranks as one of the best in Colorado.

Food was ok but overpriced. Service was unacceptable. The waiter told us that he deserved a higher tip as he only got paid the minimum wage and had to pay too much tax. Was really rude and told us to never come back. So rude and so unacceptable. Do not eat here. Awful .

We came here, just for the French Onion Soup and gazpacho. Cheese fried beyond any French onion I've ever had and it was sweet. Gazpacho was PURREED, Unreal. Awful taste and looked like baby food.

My wife and I had a wonderful dinner outside on the Patio, and Geoffrey look great care of us. We started with the red tuna tartare and French onion soup, both we delicious, and split the seared scallops for our entree. The scallops were perfectly cooked with a light sea salt crust, and served over a bed of risotto. Very tasty. We also highly recommend staying at the Cliff House. Perfect location for exploring Manitou Springs on foot.
The food was beyond 5 star. Everything from our appetizer to dessert was incredible. Presentation was beautiful and artistic, yet simple. The wait staff were knowledgeable and very attentive. Would highly recommend them for special occasions and we will definitely return again!

Unfortunately, I can't review the food because we had to leave 90 mins after we were seated, and it still hadn't arrived. It took almost 30 mins just to get drinks, and the restaurant was only at about 25% of capacity with staff just standing around, so I'm not sure what was going on. A definite pass for us.
Since restaurant was in 4 diamond hotel Was expecting a top notch restaurant The restaurant didn't deliver A lot of things were off When we arrived our reservation was crossed off and our table given to Someone else. The server didn't bring bread or ask us if we wanted ground pepper on our salads. And service was very slow It took over an hour to get the main course And the bison ribeye I had was almost raw Even though I had been waiting over an hour Had to send back to kitchen to be cooked right I realize they were busy- But the restaurant needs to Get its act together if their Going to charge premium prices
Serious place for a good dinner with great atmosphere.
