Kinfolks is a Manitou Springs institution! The vibe is always good and the new owner, has brought back the true essence of a very loved local hangout. If you like live music, local art and cold adult beverages, check it out, you’ll love it.

Some friends and I arrived here last Saturday afternoon because we were told this was a nice spot to hang out. The place was just OK. The food was...forgettable. The atmosphere was pretty cool at first, but the whole night got sort of weird when this guy Tomcat, who I think is the manager or something, greeted our group. He was extremely loud and obnoxious, he reeked of cigarettes, he got a drink order but never even brought us our drinks. Every time we asked him about our drinks he would just go outside to smoke. It was very confusing. When the drinks didn't come after 20 minutes we thought we had just mistaken him for the town vagrant. He seemed drunk and homeless, and was oddly obsessed with Dolly Parton trivia. He kept interrupting the group conversation to yell at us about Dolly and wave his stink lines over our table. It was easy to see that he made others uncomfortable as well. I hate being this critical about someone but when you're running a bar like this, you shouldn't be running a bar at all. We left after about 45 mins of what felt like being in a bad cartoon purposefully written by Hunter S. Thompson to piss you off. My friends and I retreated to another place called Armadillo Ranch and the night was saved!

This place is 100% grade A Garbage. Don't even waste your time. I'd rather get trashed at a waffle House on my own dime. There's no AC so it gets super hot in there. Drinks were sloppy and the bartenders are just too worried about making out with each other. They try to have music played in there but the house DJ (DJ slim Jim) thought he was top tier mixing but in reality was playing subpar trashy music with a terrible sound system. You're better off listening to a mix on soundcloud in a park with music you actually like. Giving this place one star is honestly too much. Clown Of an establishment.

The service was ok, the OPTIONS weren't good. The only vegan and vegetarian option was cranberry juice or pineapple juice. You're in MANITOU For gods sake and you're called KINfolks. Plus a bunch of drunk old ladies in white linen falling over and the musician only performed SHREK SOUNDTRACK songs.

My husband and I had a disappointing experience at this establishment. Not only were we overcharged for our drinks (charged for two beers instead of one, and $36 for two Irish coffees), but when we requested a receipt, we were told it couldn't be printed. This lack of transparency left us feeling taken advantage of. Additionally, we noticed an unpleasant odor of urine in the bar area, which detracted from our overall experience. We suggest implementing better pricing practices and ensuring a clean and odor-free environment to improve customer satisfaction.
