Immaculate tea service every time! The tea and food is amazing and artfully prepared. They take time for the small details.
The castle tour is wonderful, we spent hours enjoying the history and beauty of this place.
The gift shop has an impeccable selection and great prices as well as a friendly cashier with great stories!
Had an amazing time here touring the Castle and having amazing high tea in the Queens Parlor Room! The manager for tea, the front desk lady, and the woman in the gift shop were all so wonderful, informative and incredibly sweet and friendly! I can’t wait to go back for their tea events!
We enjoyed a lovely high tea at the castle. We did make a reservation so we were seated right away. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. Their menu changes daily and everything was delicious. I do have a food allergy and they were able to accommodate that with ease. They will be having special events coming up that sound fun so check their calendar. I already made another reservation for a Bridgerton garden party. I enjoyed my tea today, mango tango, and was able to purchase a jar from their gift shop so I was thrilled with that too. I highly recommend Miramont Castle! Thank you for a great experience.
Warning for vegans interested in visiting this castle:
I went to Miramont Castle the other day and had a mostly amazing time, and I want to highlight how amazing all the food stuff was first before getting into my criticism. So first lemme say what I enjoyed
The staff was so warm and friendly, I unfortunately didn't get their names but the woman at the front desk was so kind and interesting. She told us a bunch of good stories. The woman at the gift shop was also very nice. And the staff was very attentive and quick. The castle is beautiful, and totally worth visiting. I still would recommend it even with the criticism I'm about to mention. The map is very descriptive and made for a very interesting visit.
My biggest complaint was the food at high tea, which was a huge disappointment for me. I am a vegan, and I noticed on the website that I could call ahead to ask for vegan accomodations. I also paid extra, about $25, to have vegan accomodations. This may have been an assumption on my part, but I took this mean that my extra fee would be used to acquire vegan ingredients so I could participate in the party.
But unfortunately this was not the case and the food we were brought was not very good or appetizing.
At one point - and this sounds like a complaint but actually I was very impressed by the server who ran over and admitted their mistake to protect us - a server gave me a white chocolate scone that I was very excited to try. Then she ran back and said wait sorry I gave you the wrong one, and then brought back a gray scone lol it was pear hisbiscus and not nearly as pretty or appetizing as the white chocolate scone. To be fair it was actually more tasty than I was expecting with how unappealing it looked, at least compared to the chocolate scone. But there is vegan white chocolate at sprouts that I was hoping would be offered. You can even get premade vegan pastries at Sprouts (brownies, lemon cakes, cupcKes, etc)
Then when others were having pink cupcakes and cheesecake cups, my friend and I had fried heart of palm and a raw cucumber with a huge glob of dairy free cream cheese. Again we were really hoping to be able to participate in the tea party like others were, esp since we paid extra. We did get a very thin bread cracker with apple and chili pepper than i did like, but again apple compared to a cupcakes 🙃 I know vegans don't eat animals but this doesn't mean we don't like junk food!
Then the deserts at the end were not very good either unfortunately. There was a cup that I thought was fudge, but after trying it realized it was more like a hard Pillsbury frosting.
I could tell from the presentation and the food that the other people around us had that the chef is very talented, so I would encourage them to take on the challenge of making vegan equivalents for what they're giving everyone else. I really wanted a cupcake and the chocolate scone!! For the price we paid it was disappointing that we didn't want most of the food we received.
Otherwise it was a very cool experience drinking tea in such a fancy room and they have this really cute hats you can wear for extra fanciness.
Celebrated mom’s 90th birthday at Miramont Castle. It was absolutely the best! Peggie and the castle crew went over and above preparing the meal for the 21 of us and serving us in the beauty of the Queen’s Parlor Tea Room! Kayla, the manager, Max the Chef and everyone were top notch. Set amidst the elegance of Miramont Castle made mom’s birthday the best one yet, a celebration fit for a queen indeed!
Very interesting. Many hidden passageways.
We went for a High Tea there. It was pretty good, but I have been too better. Parking was very limited. Wait staff is friendly but very busy. Right now there is construction right in front of the turn off road, so that is closed...it would be nice if they let you know that and give suggestions how to get to it the back way. I followed detour signs. Lots of narrow steps to get to the tea room, difficult for those that have walking problems.
Truly amazing, the high tea is an absolute experience. I plan on visiting more and sampling all of the teas. The four course treats served alongside the tea were equally amazing. I must recommend the Lady Lavender tea, it's a full bodied light tea that has complexity and unity which sets a new bar for lavender teas.
The scone was so fresh, and moist, I can never eat another scone save for at this tea room. While casual attire is fine, do yourself a favor and dress to the nines and use all the proper etiquette fitting a castle. I'll obviously be updating my review over time with photos, and of course to buy more tea to take home from the gift shop.
Tea time was souch fun for us and our daughter. Especially for her 5th birthday.
We had the pleasure of attending the November dinner and performance of a Mystery at Miramont. What an entertaining evening! The dinner was delicious and the performance was well executed. We remained guessing until the very end! Hats off to all the actors and staff at Miramont Castle!

Miramont castle was my favorite stop! The people who work there are super informative and kind. They give you a brochure that tells you about each room as you self-guide the property. You can tell they love where they work! There are restrooms for the public in the castle. The gardens around the castle are gorgeous, so don't miss out on that part!
Had a great time exploring and learning about so many people who lived here once and the impact they had
The high tea service was alright, and the "food" was tasty. We found about 5 parking spots with two taken and we got there 30 mins early and had to wait until Tea started. Lots of little tastes that I wish there was more of for the price. Everything the size of a cookie. I also was hoping it would last longer. The staff was on the ball with removing our plates, then another would come. I guess we just needed to eat slower. We barely finished our two teas by the time the bill was placed in front of me and we felt rushed out.
I did this for my daughters birthday and she loved it, but I wouldn't do it again.
I loved the scent of the old wood and the creek of the stairs as we respectfully made our way up the staircase. The self guided tour was easy to follow as long as you know which way is North. Gazing out from inside made me forget I was here, and made me feel like I was back in the late 1800s, looking out for a set of horses and carriage to take me away. The smells, the sounds, the experience, all unforgettable. The admission was $12 and in my opinion an adventure well worth it. Thank you, take care and stay safe.
Two out of state friends and I had a delightful 2 hrs in the tea rm. The Miramont tea room exceeded all expectations and in our experience rated #1. We’ve had high tea at Harrods and Liberty in London, in the leading hotels in UAE, İstanbul 4 Seasons, Paris, New York Cafe in Budapest and Glen Eyrie in Colorado.
The attention to detail: table setting w handmade doilies, the paper doilies under the cup of beautiful dinnerware and the variety of tea pots set the tone. The staff were cheerful, clever and fun. The food was delicious and unique. The manager engaged w her clientele and the rest of the staff made sure everything ran smoothly and added to unique and clever atmosphere: mimosa!
It is definitely a must experience!
We started our visit in the wonderful gift shop where the friendly fun-loving hostess there started our memorable experience.
