We were surprised how empty the place was for a Saturday. It is always such a fun night with standing around the big grill cooking steaks together. Everyone loved their meat. Salad bar could be a bit tidier.
Worst experience we've ever had at Minturn Country Club. We've been coming here since mid 1990's and this was by far the worst experience. The carpet and restaurant are tired looking. I'm not sure if they have been evaluated by health inspector, but they need to monitor patrons more closely. Tongs and spatulas to cook meat are used by multiple people, for raw meat, cooked meat and bread. There are no guidelines or expectations for customers. They just have a big bucket of ice that customers are supposed to put the cooking tools in after they use them. However when it's crowded at the grill, it's a free for all. Plus you have them serving you raw meat on a parchment type paper on a plate that you are then supposed to use for your cooked meat. If you watch people cooking, thier plates are contaminated, the parchment is everywhere, no hand washing stations. No tongs for bread. People going over to salad bar, using tongs or serving tools, but then putting items directly into their hands, therefor contaminating the serving pieces at the salad bar. It makes me sad to write this awful review because I love to support small businesses, however I am truly concerned for the health of the customers. You would think that after COVID, they would have more clear hygiene procedures in place and staff monitoring grill and salad bar. The restaurant itself was not too crowded when we went, and they only had one grill open. This normally would not have been a problem, but everyone there seemed to be using the grill at the same time. In addition the grill was not at all hot enough, which meant that it was taking people twice as long to cook, and there wasn't any room for people breathe. Then there was a disgusting very large family there, that was literally hogging the grill the entire night, even cooking baked potatoes on the grill. The son or growing boy, was the one who went from salad bar, using tools, to then put items in hand. He used globs of butter. Went to grill 10x +. GROSS
Tommy was our server and truly made the whole experience wonderful. His recommendations were all on point and was attentive to our needs. 10:10 recommend!

We love Minturn CC. We are regulars every time we pass through town. Highly recommend as a date night or family night out.
Wonderful hole in the wall. We look forward to this every year. Make sure you ask about the magic show. You won't be disappointed.
Minturn Country Club is a hidden gem! The unique concept of starting with a salad bar, hand-picking your steak, and cooking it yourself is a fun twist on the traditional dining experience. It's a great spot for families - kids can get involved in cooking their own steaks, and it's a nice change of pace. However, be warned: if you're not confident in your grilling skills, you might want to stick with more traditional dining options. Our experience was enjoyable, and the staff was friendly. Worth a try if you're looking for something different!

First time back here in 15 years and I'm thrilled to say that nothing has changed. We livevthis place!
Place needs some tlc, although the concept and the straps and salad bar were fine. Place has a ton of potential, but needs a refresh.

Been going to the Minturn CC for 20+ years. Always the same. Love the old style salad bar, and of course grill your own steaks. Next time, my wife and I might try the filet mignon.

Minturn Country Club is always fun. 1st time back in too many years and my wife and I got to share the experience with my son. Aside from the bite of inflation since we last stood over the lava grills, it was great! Thank you.
This would be a great place to come with a group. There were only a few people there when we dined. The service was great! We enjoyed the quiet but it would be fun with more people.
Experience was good; we will go back. We have never been to a “cook your own steak” restaurant. Disappointed in the salad bar; there could have been so many more options for garnishes. Sides to accompany the proteins were very good. I would suggest that a cocktail menu accompany the wine list at the start.
Place was empty - very dingy inside & outside looks neglected- the quality of the steak didn't seem to match the price and sides were awful
Absolutely incredible experience! The steak was tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Nice experience with kids that you can cooked your on steak. The service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was cozy Highly recommend for anyone who loves quality meat and a great dining experience! Great for families and big groups.
