“I’ve purchased your coffee a number of times at a few places in Summit. Yesterday, I needed some caffeine in a drive to Aspen. Remembering that I had seen signs for your café at the Minturn exit off of 70, I stopped in. Great little spot with excellent service. The cortado gave me the energy I needed to get to Aspen, meet with my customer, then go for a 3 mile hike and drive back to Dillon. Somehow I didn’t realize that you had your own teas as well. Lapsang souchong has been a favorite of mine for a long time… used to order it from Republic of Tea. But they stopped selling that a few years ago. I was absolutely thrilled to find that not only is there a place to get it, but even better, I can support a local business. AND, the price is really good. Your lapsang souchong is now something that I will always have in my kitchen. I’m also looking forward to coming back some time when I can sit in the café and have a snack.”

“Outstanding local spot! Each item on the menu was unique and homemade. Each course came out quickly and was piping hot right from the kitchen! We had the ribs, wagyu flatiron steak, quesabirria tacos, and cornbread for our main course. All were fantastic!”

“Been to this nice restaurant many times and it’s always first class. Tonight my wife’s chicken was excellent. The wine was great. However, the Manhattan steak was not so good. The one that was brought out was extremely tough and even hard to cut into. Our lovely server offered to bring out a new one but I said I would fight through it. To her credit, she insisted on bringing out a new one and I asked for it to be Medallion cut. The replacement came out and should have been medium rare, but when I laid out the cuts it was simply very rare to raw with lots of fat as well. I simply refused to eat it and told her to just take it off the bill. To my surprise the wonderful Manager Dana immediately came over and admitted that they failed on the steak. He explained that they usually get great cuts from the provider, but recently not so much and he actually called the owner and told him they simply can’t be offering this kind of steak as this was not the first bad cut he has seen this evening. Dana did not charge me for the steak as well as the wine and offered a free desert. Dana did exactly what I’d expect a Manager to do in this caliber of a restaurant and that alone makes me want to come back again whichever we will do so!”

The only thing that slightly disappointed me was the side salad as I was hoping for a more traditional Austrian or a German salad with pickled veggies and vinegarette. “I live in Avon and Northside is one of my go to places. They have a fantastic happy hour with Kat at the bar. Not only does she pour a great cocktail, bit is attentive and on the ball. She knows how to keep her customers happy. They should be thrilled to have her. The drinks are prefect and the food yummy. Better than most over the top expensive places in downtown Vail.”

“I had a 10/10 experience dining here today. The atmosphere is so charming and relaxed; not stuffy at all like some other places around Vail. The staff were so warm and inviting. You can tell they put a lot of heart into their business. They were very attentive too; we had excellent, fast service. Getting to the food: for reference, I prefer the Japanese “deep cuts,” or straight prepared sashimi and omakase styles. I got both sushi and rolls today. Japanese snapper was the best I’ve ever had. The creative rolls were very artfully done. I’m going to return here every time I come to vail.”
