So glad we got there by pure coincidence a few years back! The super-nice staff and great cooking really made our experience stand out. The portions were incredibly generous, and the food tasted very close to home-cooked meals. Every visit since then has been equally culinary rewarding.

Great food, cooked perfectly, bacon, eggs, toast and cinnamon rolls. The service and work ethic of the management and staff is an example to strive for. Our waitress was on her 3rd day of working alone after training. Who would have know, she was amazing! Must stop when in Montrose! Kelly and Dave - Colorado Springs

Local here- their kitchen has a reputation for being dirty and has for years. Service has been poor for as long as I can remember. Rude and slow. Food is mediocre at best. Make another choice!

Excellent service, great food, good prices. Best gluten free pancakes I've found at a restaurant, sizeable servings and great food all around. Brandon is a huge credit to the restaurant, really exceptional service- attentive, helpful, and his attitude really set the mood for the whole place, genuine smiles all around. 11/10

Loved this place. It's popular and it was crowded on Sunday morning. The food portions were huge and the service was great. I will certainly come back when I'm in Colorado again.

This was an awesome place to start your morning. The coffee was great tasting and wow , the breakfast choices made it a hard decision for us . The in house made cinnamon rolls were huge as the dinner plate and were fabulous . The hasbrowns and eggs were just as perfect . The ham finished out a great meal .

Pretty good breakfast. The service was always great. Prices weren’t bad. Coffee was good. Lots of creamer options at the table. I get decaf coffee for heart reasons and my husband gets regular and I am wondering if they accidentally switched the cups because they look identical but I feel jittery and my husband feels tired. That’s a potential big issue, and more care should be taken to differentiate the two. Luckily I didn’t drink a lot. I’m putting 4 stars due to that and due to the fact a to-go hot coffee is put inside a styrofoam cup which is extremely toxic. Piping hot liquids in styrofoam cause the chemicals to melt into the coffee and then you’re drinking them. Otherwise, an overall nice place to eat.

Reviews are not kidding about the enormous portions! The side cinnamon roll could be a meal! The waiters were fast and nice, what more could you want from a home style breakfast?

This place is called Starvin' Arvin's for a reason - the portions are HUGE! The cinnamon roll is the size of a dinner plate, and it took 4 of us to eat it all! It was absolutely delicious. We ordered a variety of dishes, and everything came correctly the first time around. Our waiter was very helpful and thankfully gave us a heads up on the portion sizes before we ordered.
