I’m not sure how the food is because we didn’t make it that far. We saw this restaurant was highly rated so we were excited to try it, however upon entering one of the older waitresses made it apparent she was stressed. Not welcoming whatsoever. She was explaining to one man that the electricity was out on the customer side of the building but the kitchen was still open. She was very snappy even to the other employees. She then proceeded to tell a man that was waiting for an order that the lady who ordered it can and picked it up already and she “wasn’t very happy with anyone.” Lol. Obviously she wasn’t either. After a few moments of waiting, we left realizing it wasn’t an environment we wanted to spend our morning. Instead we went to Toasty All Day Eatery and had a wonderful experience.

Decided to try this diner before we drove to Colorado Springs. Glad we did as the food was delicious. Staff was great. Another restaurant with a huge menu and everything is homemade. Diners are the best, I We try to stay away from chains

Coffee - $3.79! Coffee cup sizes small -- mine was @ 6 oz size. When asked why the cup was so small, waitress shrugged & said, "That's the way they are." Had to keep asking for refills, which were always a smidge over 1/2 the cup. When asked to fill it, please, smart-alecky waitress poured it over the top & then gave a napkin to me to wipe the table. Low class. The biscuits are much smaller, and not as good - tasted like baking soda. Place has gone downhill. Higher prices are understandable, but whether new management, staff or recipes, they need to return to what they used to be in quality and service.

Food and service were great, but we left feeling we d been scHAMMed. Bacon was listed as $3 for a side. Three of us ordered pancakes and asked for a side of bacon each. When the bill came we'd been charged $27 for the bacon! When you add on the 18% tip that comes to a lot of money for a few strips of bacon!?!

So glad we got there by pure coincidence a few years back! The super-nice staff and great cooking really made our experience stand out. The portions were incredibly generous, and the food tasted very close to home-cooked meals. Every visit since then has been equally culinary rewarding.

Great food, cooked perfectly, bacon, eggs, toast and cinnamon rolls. The service and work ethic of the management and staff is an example to strive for. Our waitress was on her 3rd day of working alone after training. Who would have know, she was amazing! Must stop when in Montrose! Kelly and Dave - Colorado Springs

Local here- their kitchen has a reputation for being dirty and has for years. Service has been poor for as long as I can remember. Rude and slow. Food is mediocre at best. Make another choice!

We were passing through Montrose & decided to have breakfast at Starvin’ Arvin’s. When we arrived there was only one waitress, but she took our drink order quickly & brought our coffee & water soon afterward. The food was delicious & the service was great!

Excellent service, great food, good prices. Best gluten free pancakes I've found at a restaurant, sizeable servings and great food all around. Brandon is a huge credit to the restaurant, really exceptional service- attentive, helpful, and his attitude really set the mood for the whole place, genuine smiles all around. 11/10

Your employees need to clean up!! I was just appalled at how they looked!! NOT presentable at all! Service was just " Ok" not friendly, My grandson ordered a cinnamon roll for his breakfast it was brought before ours were!! Ordered toast it was bread with just a hint of a toast, hash browns was raw !
