The first thing that I didn't like it was $3 for chips and salsa. There was just two of us and the total was $50 all we got was 4 Birria tacos each, a coke and chips and salsa. on top of the price the consome for the tacos was in a tiny little ketchup container. I make these same tacos quite often and I was hoping to find better than what I make but it didn't even come close and it was very bland with no flavor.

I placed an order for pick up over the phone and the woman was very friendly and helpful. I ordered the veggie burrito and the pollo burrito. The pollo burrito tasted average, not overly flavorful but was a very large portion. The veggie burrito was also really big but, unlike the crispy pollo tortilla, the veggie burrito was really greasy and not crispy. The choice and size of the vegetables was also not great: very large pieces of celery and carrots and onion mixed in with smaller sized peppers made it hard to eat without just opening up the tortilla and using a fork. The guacamole and salsa were pretty good but could have used more lime juice.

Agave Azul is a newer restaurant in Cortez. Our 1st visit tonight was an eye opener. This Jalisco cuisine is amazing. We will be back. I recommend you to stop and enjoy.

Update -- they were even happy to make our huaraches with nopales! Yumm. One plate was easily enough for two!

Delicious food (try the burrito relleno), Great service. Nice setting and friendly people. Reasonable prices for large servings. Lots more than just tacos. Ranks right up there with the other great Mexican restaurants in Cortez.

Wow!!! Cortez, Co what luck!! Your newest Mexican Restaurant, Agave Azul Taqueria & Bat is a wonderful gem!! I had the Al Pastor burrito, which was absolutely delicious!! When I have to take half my meal home because it's too big to eat, it's a win win, I have lunch the next day . Their salsa bar is all house made salsas which, of the three tried, all were AHHHmazing. The food was fantastic! Prices were good and portion sizes were great. Staff was friendly, and the bar tender, Aldo, made a mean margarita!! I definitely recommend checking the place out. There are so many delicious options on their menu, I can't wait to go back.

We were staying downtown so we walked. It is a food truck. It appeared clean and the man working was very nice and helpful. There was no one else around which makes you feel it might be bad but we were all happy with our meals. Quesadillas were good. My Chile relleno was good. Tacos were good. Red salsa was hot but we were warned.

Just had lunch here with my godmother who has been raving about the food as she's local and has been here more then several times and highly recommends it. The food was fantastic! She had the birria tacos, I had one also plus lengua tacos and they are generous with their portions and the flavors are fantastic! Would definitely come again and again. The prices are very fair! The service was so friendly! Please come support this amazing cantina

What a wonderful surprise! We couldn't get into another restaurant nearby, so we tried Agave Aqua Taqueria and it blew us away. Staff recommended the birria tacos and they were fabulous, as were the carne asada and al pastor. Friendly, helpful staff, fresh guacamole with house-made chips, tasty margarita and draft Mexican beer. I want to go back just to try more options at the fresh salsa bar. Highly recommend!
