Won't be back. Breakfast burritos were bland and they added $3 to my purchase.

I really enjoyed it at first, but the last time I went, the price seemed off. The total was quoted at $34.15, and I had exactly $34 in cash but no change, so I decided to pay with my credit card. I didn’t think much of it until I got home and saw a charge of $38.00 on my card. At first, I thought it might have been a mistake, but after reading other reviews with similar experiences, I’ve decided I won’t be returning.
I think this place is committing system fraud against its customers. I was charged extra for “adding” cheese to an existing menu item “bean and cheese burrito”. Then I was double charged tax by the clerk. Tax when he ran it through the cash till and then tax again when he ran it through the point of sale clover terminal. I confronted the clerk who shrugged his shoulders. I will be submitting a BBB complaint and fraud claim via my CC company. I will never eat here again.

This is in any shape or form a Mexican Restaurant. The beans were cold as ice and there was absolutely no flavor in the meals we ordered. Do not recommend this place at all. Also over priced by a long shot, nothing good about this place. Waste of time, money and quality.

My family and crews have rolled-the-dice for years with this place, no one would argue that on all occasions seeing a cloth towel wet from the condiments bar being haphazardly cleaned setting next to the bar all day. You can expect to clean the table off you sit at. Bathrooms are for necessity only so there's that. , We still can't seem to get the cooks to consistently remove their blue rubber gloves from mopping, bathroom, sink cleaning right before they prepare a burrito with them still wearing the gloves. This past year we only ask for items to be put into a plastic foam tray, lol, probably both just as bad. As far as the son and daughter managers and the main guys that work there for many years, they are incredibly polite, friendly and of course fast. We'll still visit for limited items, if the food handling gets noticeably better, I will gladly edit this post accordingly. As it is they are one foot in the door for a random inspection that would not be favorable to their business.

We are still looking for our "go to" Mexican place in the Tri Lakes area. We'll go back for take out, but it's not a full service dining restaurant. I had chili rellenos, which is my test for authentic Mexican. Done right, they are slightly crunchy, and have a great chili flavor, lots of cheese and some sort of sauce. These were not cooked quite long enough, so were pretty hard, but had plenty of cheese and a good flavor. The accompanying rice and beans were pretty good.
One guest had the carne asada plate, with seasoned beef that was quite bland. The quality of the beef wasn't great either. My other guest had the pollo asado plate, which was much better. The meat was well seasoned, delicious in fact. All meals came with very soft (home made?) tortillas.
Two big problems here - one is the place was pretty dirty. The floors had not been swept much less mopped in ages. And there were broken floor tiles right in front of the register. Don't look at the ceiling if you want to keep your lunch down. The front glass was dirty, etc. It needs a top to bottom deep clean, and regular cleaning. 2nd, you can't serve plates with flimsy plastic ware. I understand cutting corners to keep costs down, but what they have is virtually unusable. Foam plates and cups really aren't environmentally appropriate these days.
Value is decent - $55 for 3 of us with sodas is pretty good for quality food prepared fresh. We'll go back, but only for takeout.

They are scammers!!! Check your credit cards because these guys are adding on a couple bucks for themselves!! It might only be $3 I’m disputing but $3 from every customer is a ton of money!
Absolute gem of a place, near the Walmart, in Monument.
Authentic Mexican grill owned by local Mexican family!
My family and I use this for breakfast burritos on Sundays. Very large portions. Affordable. Red and green salsa station along with fresh veggies to spice it up.
We come here often and will continue to do so.
Huge menu from carne asada, carnitas, enchiladas, nachos all of your traditional Mexican foods!

Alright place for quick, high priced Mexican food but the thing that really sucks is how unsanitary they are. Most recent visit the guy took the trash out, changed the bag, then right after came up front to ring me up and then made my breakfast burrito without washing his hands. The breakfast burrito was nothing but fries stuffed in there with scraps of egg and ham. 10 bucks for that thing.... I'll just go to mcds next time smh

I live in Monument and we love their food. Good prices and quick service. Fish tacos are great as well as the California Burrito and Steak Nachos. Must try all of their sauces as well.
Parking: Close and usually plenty of parking. Never had an issue

Coming from Arizona, this is authentic. You walk in, a little grungy, a little messy, but that’s exactly what you’re looking for when it comes to good Mexican food.
Anything on the menu is stellar and the salsa bar has fresh salsas that are delicious. I have high standards for Mexican and I’m so happy I finally found my spot🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏
