Great local eatery that is always busy.

Had issues with the steak being cooked correctly the last two visits, so I thought I'd play it safe and tried the chicken fried steak. Yeah, so that was a mistake. The server was quick to change it out as the first one was all breading and no meat. the second one was only slightly better. Whoever is the food supplier for roadhouse needs a new job. The biggest negative about this restaurant is who would let that leave their kitchen?

Super friendly staff

We came during the lunch rush on mother's Day and were immediately seated as well as checked on throughout our meal by multiple wait staff. The food was also delicious.

My family and I go to this Texas Roadhouse in monument quite frequently. We have always had a good experience. Tonight was the worst service we have had at any restaurant! Zoey our server was awful! This was my in laws first time at the Texas Roadhouse. She took our drink orders and put them on the table and we had to pass them out and didn’t know which soda belonged to whom. She snapped at my father in-law because he said he didn’t get his. I was embarrassed. She wanted our dinner orders. My in-laws were trying to understand the menu. When we said we needed a little more time she rolled her eyes and then left. She didn’t return for about 15 minutes. When my mother in-law was trying to order Zoey snapped at her and said she needed to know the sides. My mother in-law didn’t understand she needed to have extra sides. The server then put her finger on the menu and tapped her finger on it and said you need two sides. My mother in-law was flustered. It was embarrassing. I felt like She was annoyed at my in-laws because they didn’t know the menu as it was their first time at a Texas Roadhouse. She was irritated that they had to take time to look at. She wanted our order immediately and when they weren’t able to do that she rolled her eyes shrugged her shoulders and said ok and walked away and didn’t come back for 15 minutes. She came and roughly put down drinks we didn’t know which drink belonged to who. My father in-law asked about his drink because he did not get one. She snapped and said it would be coming. The order came and she gave people the wrong plates and when we didn’t have one side she took it off another plate and told me this is your order. I said this isn’t my order. I ordered a steak. She then said she would go see what happened. She said that my meal was delivered to another table and they were making me another meal, but that I would get it a little later. Then a lady came out and said she had it. The steak was clearly not mine and I said it was ok I would go ahead and cancel my order. People don’t like to eat alone. When we got the paper bill she did show me they took my meal off the ticket. It was awful! Everyone was embarrassed. She never returned. I had to go find someone to get us to-go-boxes. A nice person who cleans tables helped find some. I wish I would have gotten his name. I gave a $15 dollar tip. I should have never given her this much. When we go back if I see Zoey is our server I will say we need a different server. I will not ever take new guests again! Not ever! It was awful and embarrasing to watch my in-laws fluster and struggle with their order. You might be wondering how do I know her name, it was written on a napkin that was slammed down. They have always had good service so I was shocked by this lack of service.
No management came by like they usually do. I’m wondering if management is new.

Attention everyone:
I worked in the chef industry for 4 years at a steakhouse, and I know my steak cuts. Lately, Texas Roadhouse has been shorting customers on steak portions. I visited the northern Colorado Springs location (heading toward Denver) and ordered two 6 oz steaks. When they came out, I immediately noticed the steaks looked small—each was around 3.4 oz. I asked the waitress to bring a scale because I know what 6 oz looks like. She was surprised but complied, and sure enough, the steaks weighed in at 3.4 oz.

My wife ordered an 8 oz steak—it was only 4.8 oz. My brother’s “6 oz” steak was just 3.8 oz. That’s over 10 oz of meat we paid for and didn’t receive. Total bill? $118. And they still made us pay in full.

This is not acceptable. If I don’t receive a gift card or some form of compensation, I’ll be posting the full video to my followers and across social media. Check your steaks, folks.

This is one of the few places everyone in the family can agree on so we eat here probably once a month or so. The food has always been good but the last few times the service has been terrible. Today was probably the worst and was so bad that I tipped only 10% instead of my usual 20. We were constantly waiting for rolls and drinks while the server walked right by us more than once. I had finished my beer and was waiting to order another drink but server walked by at least twice without even looking at our table. I probably would have ordered a couple more drinks if she had been more attentive. My son gets the pulled pork sandwich and always uses the rolls to make sandwiches with the pork that falls out. We waited for the server to come by to ask for some and she never did. Eventually the manager came over to check on us, we asked her for more rolls, she said sure, be right back...and then promptly forgot all about us. I was about to just go grab the rolls myself but my son said forget it and just ate his pork without them. When the server finally came over, I asked for some rolls to go, she brought the basket over but no to-go container. We waited and waited and finally got tired of waiting so my wife got up and got a to-go container herself. If this was the first time we'd had service this bad, I could overlook it but this is the third visit in a row it has been this bad. I hope it gets better next time.

I've been to this restraint many, many times over the 12 years I've lived here. The food is always great, although it may take a little longer depending on how busy they are. The atmosphere is awesome and the advice is good.

Food was great. Steak prepared just as ordered. Service/staff were on point.

The host was great, the server was great. The people in the back simply do not know how to cook a steak to temperature requested. They brought out this extremely thin steak that still had blood in it although it was ordered medium well. Despite being a holiday it wasn't even that busy.

My husband ordered a 16oz Sirloin, and he received a ribeye. The ribeye was super fatty, so we allowed Lynne the manager to know. She offered to get both of us new steaks since it would take 8 mins to cook a new one for him. I declined a new steak for myself. She brought us his new steak, new potatoes, and new salads for both of us to go. Lynne apologized for the kitchens mistake and made everything right in the end.
Kolton was great.
Thank you !!!
