Hungry Goat Scratch Kitchen and Wine Bar

Called ahead to ask if the outside patio was open for service and whether I could bring my dog. The person on the phone was pleasant, said the patio was open, that it was warm enough in the sun, and encouraged me to come in. I brought my 97‑year‑old mother based on that information. When I checked in, I expressed concern about the temperature and was told again that it wouldn’t be a problem because sunny tables were available. After a 15‑minute wait, we were led to a table in the shade in an awkward location. I could see right away that it would have been too cold for my mother, so I asked if another table was available, noting that two tables in the sun were open. The hostess went back to check and said there wasn’t another table available at that time and that we would need to wait another 25 minutes because the only tables we could occupy were in the “dog area” of the patio. Since two tables in the non‑dog area were open, I offered to leave my dog in the car and asked if we could sit at one of those tables. I was told that wasn’t possible because those tables were “four tops” — two two‑tops pushed together — and two people could not be seated there. At that point, it was clear we weren’t going to be accommodated, and left feeling frustrated at the unwelcoming and inflexible hostess - and that we had wasted our time.

The best place to eat in Morrison, I always go there for lunch.The price for person is fair, the food is served quick and warm, my Bloody Mary always fresh and spicy. Highly recommended.

Well worth the wait on a busy night. Dilynn is a top grade hostess. We waited a bit for a table but bar seats were open and we gratefully took those as she suggested while waiting for our table. At the bar Sean treated us wonderfully. Class A service there, highly recommended, makes you forget about getting a table. We got our table though and Luke was great as our server. Very conscientious and timely with our requests and orders. We'll be back, and soon. Thanks Hungry Goat squad, you don't fail to impress!! Oh, yes, and the food is exquisite as always, sin par! :)

Amazing food!!! The fall harvest salad was one of the best salads I’ve had in my life. And the Brussels sprouts appetizer was also great. Elica was a fantastic server and was very knowledgeable about the menu.

Stopped in on a chilly December afternoon. Received a nice warm welcome. Shared an appetizer and had a great pint of beer. Would definitely go back for a full meal.

I had one of the best dining experience here with my wife. Every dish we ordered was out of this world. I forget the server’s name since it was a while ago…. But he elevated the dining experience. Do ask the servers for food and drinks recommendations

Really nice presentation for all dishes, and they tasted good too. Prices are a bit higher, but for the quality you get it’s worth it. Highly recommend.

We were easily accommodated when we changed our reservation to a bit earlier. The butternut soup was excellent as was the bolognese, veggie burger and beef burger. The kitchen was accommodating to change requests on menu items.

We ate on the patio over the summer and this might be my favorite restaurant in Morrison! The service was great and I loved the atmosphere of the restaurant, I’m a sucker for a water feature. The food was amazing, we had the baked goat cheese app, which was so delicious. I had the caesar salad and my husband had the steak frites for lunch. Everything is made from scratch and you can tell by the quality of food they are serving! They were super busy but food and drink came out fast!

First time at Hungry Goat and it was such a treat! The steak au poivre was delicious and the pumpkin mousse was heavenly! 10/10 recommend and can't wait to go back! The service and atmosphere was great!

the cold leftover fries were AMAZING. that alone is incredible

John the Server was so pleasant and efficient and knew just when to appear back at the table. The Butternut Squash Soup nearly made me cry and the Brunch Shrimp and Grits was cooked perfectly and so delicious. The bread pudding for dessert also a hit. This place really puts Morrison on the map cuisine wise!
