Very unique Colorado experience that lives up to the hype. The food was amazing with options for local game meat. Will definitely go back.

Went with friends for a special occasion - the food was delicious and the setting truly beautiful, with views of the city lights. Service was impeccable, and such a great variety of food that one doesn't typically get to enjoy!

Well, our first time wasn't quite what we anticipated...to say the least. That being said, the staff here made up for it. Big time. Absolutely appreciate the kitchen manager, Chris, and our server. We will be back! 🙏 Thank you

The Fort is trying to figure out if its a fine dining restaurant or a dining experience. Part of its charm has always been the play actors wandering around chatting with patrons, and I'm glad that's still happening. The decor and ambiance has always been a little odd because the building isn't really what it appears to be, leading to a number of lefts, rights, and short staircases to get to a table in one of the many dining rooms. At one point our group walked right by the hot lights and entrees waiting for waitstaff to serve, and several times we found ourselves in the way of waitstaff trying to share the same doorways used by patrons. All of that is forgivable, however, given the unique building, though I have to wonder what they were thinking back when they built it. The menu tries to be unique and interesting, but even the items like 'Buffalo Eggs' (sausage fritters with quail eggs) are not particularly challenging to the palate. Leave that to things like the Rocky Mountain Oysters. The main course is likely to be meat, and The Fort does a great job with its more gamey fare, knowing how to cook it to prevent any toughness. However, my Bison Prime Rib, cooked medium rare, was barely warm in the center and tasted like sashimi. I had to wrap it up and cook it a bit more to enjoy it. It was a pricey meal, over $500 for 4 with an inexpensive bottle of wine, but the setting, service and food were not disappointing. Just don't expect either a highly unique experience, or a fancy night out. Its more a bit of both.
We had the best date tonight at the murder mystery wedding! So much fun socializing with strangers that became instant friends. the food was delicious as well! We can't wait to do it again!
Fantastic as always!

Great food and service. Chris the general manager is always walking around and making sure that everything is perfect. He interacts with the guest so that if they have any questions he is able to answer them. Not one of those how are you doing and walks away. We had a 15- 20 minute conversation with him and he never made you feel like you were taking up his time.

Recently had a family dinner with the Fort. The atmosphere is always a pleasant experience with the authentic south western decor. The menu with the steaks and game meats are a complement to it all. The food and drinks are top notch, excellent quality. The wait staff is very friendly and attentive. Although during peak hours there may be a need for additional assistant support staff as the servers can have their time intervals to check on us reduced. As I spend and tip $$$$ on dinners I do hopefully anticipate service above and beyond. Overall I am pleased with everything and always return and highly recommend.

The ambiance, the food, everything is outstanding. Whether it is your first visit, or one of many- The Fort always exceptional. The menu offers a nice selection of courses. The servings are abundant. Service is impeccable. If you are entertaining guests, celebrating an anniversary, or birthday- this dining experience will become one of your favorite memories.
I had a wonderful experience at your restaurant. The food and our server, Ruth, were both phenomenal! Everything was perfectly timed with the appetizers, salad, and main courses arriving one after another without delay. Thank you for proving such a lovely evening. Emily

Food has become overpriced and then they slip in a extra charge for a kitchen bonus. Buyer beware
We've been here several times and the dining experience has never anything less than perfect! I have never ordered the same meal twice and as always, the food exceeded my expectations....and I have high expectations! 😊
Food quality for the price was not impressive. Filet was not really tender and difficult to chew. The chicken boudin was mealy and didn't taste good. We got two tiny pumpkin muffins, so only one each. My elk chops were served very rare instead of medium rare, which I chose. The crème brûlée was cold and of poor texture. Not even similar to custard. Very disappointing overall and not up to prior standards.
We always love our visits to The Fort. Wonderful food and drinks, great service, and enjoyable ambiance.
The Rocky Mountain Outfit of the Colorado Brigade of the American Mountain Men were trated like kings!
