My wife and I have celebrated our wedding anniversaries there for 16 years now and will continue as long as we can.

The food was outstanding. The customer service was attentive. It was a special evening and the restaurant did everything possible to make it outstanding!

Really enjoyed our first time dining at the fort. We will definitely be back. The steaks were great. Temperature correct. We didn't try many of the wild game options. Bread pudding for desert was terrific.

We flew to attend a concert at the red rocks. This is a perfect place for dinner. Exactly what we were hoping for. We enjoyed the snake bites. They were like cute little pigs in a blanket, and the raspberry sauce was nice and spicy , some in our dining party opted for the Platter that had bison, quail, and elk. The elk was delicious. I have never had elk before. They even accommodated us by moving us outside later in the evening when a table about 10 people started making way too much noise. It was no problem. We made the request and we were swiftly moved. Would definitely recommend this place to anybody that's in the area it's worth driving to!

We went there before a concert at red rocks the view and the ambience are what you expect to get at the Fort however the food was mediocre at best.

Go to The Fort for the location and the views. The food is substandard, even the meats (which they're supposed to be known for) and the prices are ridiculous for the quality.

Had a wonderful time at The Fort! We like to go there every year for our anniversary. Delicious food, wonderful service, and warm inviting ambiance. Would recommend this restaurant for any special event that you want to celebrate!

We have eaten at the Fort a number of times since the early 1970s and have always received excellent service, but this time it was EVEN BETTER. The two wait staff assigned to us were so pleasant, helpful and competent we couldn't have asked for more. As always, the steaks were excellent and you can't beat the ambiance anywhere.

Wasn't very impressed with food. Filet and Elk were cooked well, sides were blah. Took a long time to get meal.

The view is great and the food is good but not for the prices. Way overpriced (4 adults, 2 didn't drink) bill was $480. The prices were high enough to not match the quality of the food. I would not return for an entree. The view/ambiance though I would come back and just get a drink and an app.

Wonderful dinner with friends at The Fort before a Red Rocks concert. Bison eggs, herb butter steaks, and lobster tail were cooked to perfection, including delicious Fort potatoes and succotash. Nice wine list as well. Our server Makayla was very helpful and pleasant. Will definitely return if ever in the area again.

Nice view but very hard to get a table without booking.

Fantastic food and service in a wonderful setting. Fairly expensive but well worth it. We had a wonderful evening.

All meat was over cooked vegetables too salty, red potatoes were black from over cooking, elk loin was pretty good but over cooked

I’ve been eating at the Fort since the 70’s - while it’s gone through its fair share of changes and issues, it’s one of Denver’s most iconic restaurants. That said, Mother’s Day 2025 was as underwhelming as it could get. We had an earlier reservation 430. We were seated in the worst possible place - the southwest side dining area. No view, no space, no true Fort flavor for atmosphere. It was like eating in the servants quarters. While the service was impeccable, the food was not. The menu was very limited. I understand the reasoning for this but I also expected the food to be spectacular as the focus of the kitchen could be on just a few things. Instead it was similar to eating in a hospital cafeteria. I have no idea why the Fort would serve frozen Lima beans and corn with a $65 cut of meat. Seems insulting to everyone involved. In the end, we spent a little over $500 for 3 adults and 1 child. I am more than happy to spend that amount of money on amazing food and experience but not at the Fort. Before you book for a holiday or special occasion, find alternatives. There are far better restaurants in Denver at that price point. Very sad our experience turned out this way.
