I highly recommend Buffy the Chicken Slayer. Its so good. Also the crust is so good. The garlic is not overkill.

The pizza was great, we had a pepperoni pizza, a Kahuna and a Carnivore. All 3 were great. Got to play a little fooseball with the kids before getting back on the gondola. Really enjoyed our meal here.
Kid-friendliness: The kids loved playing fooseball

We took our pizza to go, to watch the sunset on our balcony, & it was delicious! The chicken BBQ pizza & salad hit the spot. Kind staff & quick service! Visiting from Austin, TX, this was a nice treat.

Crazy Elk Pizza is by far the best pizza place in Mountain Village. This is an order at the counter, then bring your food to your seat type of place. We have had the pizza here a couple of times. It is solid. We also like the salads as well. A highly recommended place for pizza in Mountain Village.

Outside patio is very comfortable. Help yourself to napkin, silverware and condiment set up for the table. Reheated pizza slices (vegetable, elk sausage) not hot enough and crust a bit tasteless. Ok choice in a pinch.

Crazy Elk is in Mountain Village (the ski resort "town") above Telluride, just a short, fun, scenic gondola ride up from Telluride. I think Crazy Elks has the best pizza in town (both towns)! That's why I rate its food with 5 stars. I'm from NY/LI originally, and its thin, soft crust and cheesy platform is my benchmark for good pizza... and of course a large choice of yummy, fresh toppings. It's hard to find good pizza in Colorado, but Crazy Elk has good pizza. When I complemented the manager on his pizza, during our conversation we discovered we're both from Long Island and went to the same highschool. He said he set out to make as close to a New York pizza as he could. I think he succeeded!
Atmosphere is a wood, bar/ restaurant vibe. They do have an outside patio for open air eating.

Beautiful little spot to stop and grab some lunch. Staff were not very friendly and did not have much service.

Good pizza and lots of options to choose from. Also create your option. Ordered the Blanca and added pepperoni. Restaurant was pretty quiet, service was fast.

I recently visited Crazy Elk Pizza with hopes of enjoying a lunch outing with my friend, but was left disheartened by the service we received. Upon request for a specialty pizza slice, which was advertised on the menu for seven dollars, the supervisor informed us that this option was not available, despite the clear advertisement. This was confusing and frustrating, but what exacerbated the situation was the supervisor's demeanor, which was dismissive and unaccommodating.
I was particularly upset by the differing treatment I observed; a couple after us seemed to have no trouble placing a similar order. It is concerning and disappointing to feel that the service disparity may have been influenced by racial bias, as I am African American.
In all, the manager's unhelpful attitude and the inconsistency in service not only dampened our visit but also prompted me to question the inclusive values that I expect from public-serving businesses. I hope this feedback is taken seriously, as everyone deserves fair and equal treatment, and a customer's race should never affect the quality of service they receive.
