The experience was superb! The food was incredible, each bite more delectable. Everyone was welcoming and paid great attention to every detail. We are going back again tonight. Chef Zachary came out and personally described each dish, his spirit behind the creations and answered our many questions. Can’t wait to go back tonight!

Thank you, Reuben!!! —- Absolutely incredible experience, I went here over the course of a week and Reuben made the occasion memorable for my time in Telluride. Reuben gave great recommendations for hikes, food, and most importantly, he makes very tasty cocktails!

What a fantastic place! The ambiance is pure Telluride, the service was fantastic, and our waiter helped us decide on the most delicious bison steak with roasted root vegetables. So delicious I want to try and recreate that dish when I get back east. Highly recommend the experience.
We've have come here about 4 times a year for the past 3 years. Last night felt like we were on an episode of “punked” in comparison to what we've experienced in all previous visits. The biggest change which came as a shock given the price of each plate is they no longer have the roasted vegetables with the tray of meat, instead they bring a tiny cast iron pan of dried roasted vegetables and another of picked vegetables. Not even enough for 2 people. The large roasted carrots and sweet potatoes and onions have been nixed by the new chef. New chef also has less than eye for details as our steaks Came out very dry. Another very noticeable change is the less attentive wait staff (having to walk up to the bar to ask for more water because we were drinking water for a long time while we waited 50 mins for our food to arrive). We figured out by the end of our time there why it was dead as we were experiencing the situation. It's too bad as we loved this place but when you're charging that much for plates and taking 50 mins to bring them in a nearly dead restaurant with 4 waitstaff, 2 hostess and a bartender, it seems that the place is headed down hill. Can't wait to see what Four Seasons brings to the area.

The ambiance at the Madeline is chic modern and natural, and the service is stellar. However, for a 5 star hotel's main restaurant, the food was lacking in variety and preparation. I am pescatarian and my partner is vegetarian. There were no fish entrees and only one vegetarian entree. We ordered several appetizers and the Roasted Cauliflower entree which was served in Paella. The Cauliflower was charred on the outside but raw on the inside and the Paella was cold. We did enjoy several appetizers but had to send one back because they served it with potato chips (also odd for a fancy hotel restaurant). Overall we had a nice night because the service was so good, but I would not recommend this restaurant for pescatarians or vegetarians.

Amazing food, amazing service, a well-versed bartender with a proper mustache makes this a dining experience like no other. Thank you all!
This place is great! Staff is friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Food and drinks were spot on. We’ll be back!
