We stayed at the hotsprings resort for our tenth anniversary, and given that the resort is a little remote, we ate here out of necessity twice. The first time was for dinner, and we arrived for our reservation and were seated right away, which was great. However, after we sat down, it took a solid 15-20 minutes for our server to even greet us. We ordered the spinach dip as an appetizer, which was really runny and the "crostini" that it came with were literally Lays potato chips lol. Not with the $15ish it cost by a long shot.
Then it came to the mains, and to say they were disappointing would be an understatement. My steak was completely raw. Don't get me wrong, ya girl likes a good medium rare, but this was fully raw, like it had been on the grill for maybe 45 seconds to get a barely there crust. I sent it back, obviously, and it took almost 15 minutes to get it back. By which time, my husband's meal was cold because he was sweet enough to wait to eat until I had my food as well.
When they finally brought my plate back, it was better, but the cook was suuuuuper inconsistent and there were still parts that we inedible because of how raw they were. Ridiculous for the $60 price tag.
We decided to get a Creme Brule to share, and it was pretty good, but it was tiny. So that, paired with one glass of wine and an old fashioned, and our meals, we spent over $180 for a very mediocre experience and %50 of our meal being inedible.
The next day we went again for breakfast, which was again, incredibly disappointing. We arrived at about 8:45 and again, it took over 15 minutes to be greeted by a server once we were seated. We were then told that they were "out of pancakes." At breakfast. 45 minutes after the breakfast service started lol.
So, we ordered things we didn't want, and it was the breakfast equivalent of Debbie Downer from the SNL skit. And it cost us another $50 😂
Overall a very disappointing aspect of the resort, which has so many lovely things to offer. The restaurant just kind of sucks, plain and simple. You'll have a better meal if you just stop at the little general store and grab a Hunk of Hunt Brothers Pizza, which we did for dinner on the second night, and it was delicious 😅

The food is always very good here, and continues to shine, but the restaurant and bar seems to constantly suffer from staffing issues, and as a result, service can be slow or overlooked. I've been here countless times, and it's a recurring theme. Fortunately, everyone who works here is fantastic and friendly. They just seem overworked, overwhelmed, and understaffed. The bar staff also seemed to have issues with the POS system. It didn't look very user friendly. Hopefully management can try something new in the future so that year after year, we don't have to lower our expectations or drive to Buena Vista.

We are locals and typically love this restaurant, but we had the worst experience at the restaurant today! We were ignored! I had to get my own drink from the bar. A table that was seated after us was served before us! Sooo being a former server, I had to server myself! My friend as a former restaurant owner was appalled! We finally got a server, but she was so rude! We felt like we were an inconvenience in her day! She was so rude. Then the manger just batted her eyes and rolled her eyes as we tried to tell her our experience. Oh well so much for a great experience at Mt Princeton, Mary Murphy restaurant! Talk about a bad taste in my mouth!😣
Poor energy, we were an inconvenience in there day. They didn’t even exceed the minimum! Total crap.
I’ve got better service at McDonalds!
After Christmas dinner. The Rib Eye and Prime Rib were very flavorful! Home made bread and soup were amazing. Carmel Cheesecake to finish it all off!
Dan the waiter was very attentive! Excellent!

We paid a deposit and rented the back room for a larger company gathering, and the food was excellent. While we spent considerable time (and some money) planning the event—choosing meals and providing details about our group—there was some confusion upon arrival, as the staff seemed unprepared for the size of our party and the specifics of our order. Despite this initial frustration, we worked through the issues, and the overall experience was positive. I plan to return and will be sure to remind them to confirm all details in advance for a smoother experience with a larger group.
Vegetarian options: They do have vegetarian options and were accommodating to our gluten-free guest
Parking: A few in our group had difficulty finding parking

We spent a few days at Mt Princeton for a Christmas trip and had such a great time! Great staff and service! We had to give a shout out to 3 employees that really went the extra mile Liz and Irean were so fun and kind and Matt. Truly all three made our visit all the more special! Thank you all for the great holiday trip! Merry Christmas!

Liz our waitress was amazing! She helped us out and had great recommendations! We had her as a waitress for multiple nights and she was excellent, she remembered our previous orders and created a great customer experience. Would highly recommend!!

The bread service for $11 was a let down. Cold loaf of bread you could have bought from the grocery store bakery dept. Our server neglected us most of the night. We had to ask passerby staff to help us with things we needed. They sat us at a table that looks into the staff area…of which there should be curtains covering so you don’t get that unpleasant view. Not worth the money. The mains were just ok. Would not go back.

This place offers breakfast, lunch, and dinner. We ate here while staying at Mt Princeton. Every time we had great service and great food. Dinner is on the expensive side but delicious. I'd staying here, you can charge to your room. Credit cards do get charged an additional 3.99%.

Partner & I had lunch before soaking & we had a nice meal with a beautiful view. He got the carve asada sandwich & I got the chicken & Brie, which was SO good & had an interesting blend of flavors. I liked the sweet potato fries but the regular fries are top notch so I’ll prob go back to ordering those next time. Beautiful view of the snow covered peaks nearby.

Over priced meals with small portions. Soup was served cold. Steak was chewy and fatty. Meh.

The food is definitely good, however for the value, they have tiny tiny portions. We shouldn't be leaving a $150 dinner (just my wife and I) still hungry. With the elk fillet, they gave 3 small carrots and ½ a potato worth of mashed potatoes. Tasty, but not worth the money.
My boyfriend took me to this restaurant and proposed to me. The entire staff was in on it and banded together to help make it the most magical moment. The chef specially made my favorite dessert and it was amazing. My fiancé and I ordered the elk steak and the bison steak and it was the best thing I'd ever eaten.
All together it was a really amazing evening and I am grateful to everyone that helped my fiancé propose and to everyone that made our food. Thank you!

Not sure what all the mixed reviews are here for. Maybe management recently changed? The food is excellent, though! My partner and I had the bison and the elk steaks for dinner plus the caramel apple cheesecake and several different breakfast options and they were all sincerely awesome. Highly recommend if you’re already at the hot springs!!
