If you're in Nederland, CO, you absolutely have to stop by the Covered Wagon Restaurant and Saloon! Hands down, the best bartender in town is Amy—she made our entire experience so memorable with her friendly service and great recommendations. We were so impressed with the food that we came back the very next day to enjoy it again. The atmosphere was cozy, and the overall experience was fantastic. If you’re looking for great food and amazing service, this is the place to be! Amy definitely made our visit unforgettable!
Definitely more bar than restaurant! Caught me off guard a bit but fun atmosphere and delicious food. Bathrooms have a bit to be desired
Vegetarian options: they have a beyond burger and some good sides

Wonderful diner style breakfast menu. Really enjoyed the food, the waitress was kind and accommodating. The bloody Mary's were strong. Overall, it was the perfect stop when passing thru for a quick breakfast.

It was cold and bad. The food took forever and we couldn’t eat it, somehow it took 45 mins to get the food but it was cold when we got it. Their breakfast menu is 4 items. Could be a cool place if they didn’t make bad food and made it better.

The food was great! The service was excellent. We had the bratwurst. The mustard was especially good. We are taking a jar of the mustard home with us. Many thanks to the owner and staff for the enjoyable evening.
Hidden gem, the game was on, the regulars were laughing and the food was incredible

Great burgers. I originally ordered a bowl of french onion soup with a salad. There was an inedible disk of cheese and croutons sitting on the very salty soup. The salad was not appetizing either. The server handled the situation very well!
Stick with the house burgers! Yummy!
Food is horrible!! Service as bad.Looks like everything is ordered pre made and frozen from SYSCO. Why put egg into a burger? To make the filler bind. Even the regulars don't eat there.

This is a local restaurant and bar in Nederland CO on the main restaurant street with other restaurants filled with tourists. get the local flavor of the town and delicious food, especially their hamburgers and spaghetti and meatballs. check out their beers starting at $3.50. highly recommended, they also have an outdoor eating area. A piano which is played randomly on different nights and a cigarette dispensing machine no longer filled with cigarettes. but there is plenty of old artifacts. You'll have an enjoyable time just looking at everything.

Passing through. A great breakfast!!!
On vacation with family. Waitress RAN outside to tell us and another couple about the specials. I assume because no one was in there at lunchtime. Very friendly—but RAN around the restaurant the entire time even though it was not busy. People came in, got their food, ate it, and left. We sat and sat—5 adults and a toddler. After more than an hour—while several tables came and went—2 of our orders came out. BLT plate and fish plate. Fish was extremely overcooked and served with a small handful of fries. After my husband ate what he could, the rest of our food came out. Grandsons chicken strips burnt beyond recognition; my burger was burnt so bad it was simply burnt crust with the middle cooked out of it. Potato soup lukewarm and full of raw onions.
Waitress said she’d have it recooked IN FIVE MINUTES. We said no, she brought it out anyway. Chicken strips were edible but the burger was STILL burnt and I could not even swallow the bite I took. Waitress removed drinks and the two meals from the bill (which would have been around $130) but we were still overcharged for several items. I don’t understand why it took an hour and a half to burn our food then recooked in 5 minutes but the whole experience was one of the WORST we’ve ever had and pretty much ruined the entire afternoon. ABSOLUTELY POSITIVELY DO NOT RECOMMEND.
