My partner and I have been coming to crosscut religiously for the last 2+ years. We absolutely fell in love with the concept, atmosphere, staff, and food quality. We were here AT LEAST once a week for almost a year straight. We consider this one of our 3rd spaces, it was an amazing establishment ran by people who truly cared about their community, guest, and genuinely made human connections.
We still encourage people to try Crosscut in hopes they will get great service from some of the staff that has been there a while & providing a great customer experience, it's sad to say it has been dwindling for the past year.
We go on occasion however not nearly as much as we used to.
The management & bar service when certain bartenders are there is absolutely horrendous. The lack of care, respect for the brand, respect for their guest, and keeping the Crosscut vibe alive has died.
The lack of staff moral is evident, the knowledge has fallen off a cliff, there is clear animosity between staff members that they chose to air out during service in front of all of their guest, overall the experience a complete 180 from before.
Having a staff member tell multiple guest that the new menu item, couscous, is bland and unappetizing is such an insane thing to hear from other service industry workers to complete strangers to you that you thought was our first visit? If a menu item isn't ready for your standards, why are you serving it? Why are you telling guest that?..
Crosscut will always have a special place in our heart, but man the change over in management over the past 8-12 months has been awful, and ultimately will make us second guess coming at all, let alone as often.
Crosscut may not see the affect this has on their actual business sales wise, as you are a perfect stop from Eldora, after hikes, during Sundance Film Festival next year, but how long can tourism keep funding the lack of training in this establishment?
We wish Seth the best, but man what a bummer that our 3rd space has turned into essentially a money grab. We're fine paying $125.00 for us to eat pizza during the golden era, but unfortunately not now.
To the amazing staff that has served us dozens of times, thank you for the memories, conversations, recommendations, and truly making us feel a part of the family!

No wonder I’ve heard about this restaurant from across the country! Absolutely delicious pizza, with creative and mouthwatering combinations of toppings. The staff is so friendly and the atmosphere is familial. Great family-run business, highly recommend!

First visit, late April, light snow. What an environment! BUT, the service and food is what will bring us back again. Our server, Lucas, was off the charts and so so so good to us.
Great service. Delicious pizza, good beer selection, loved the cam and jam (camembert and cherry jam) appetizer

I tried a chicken BBQ pizza and a veggie option, and both were delicious with generous toppings and perfectly melted cheese. The crust is nicely baked—crispy on the outside and soft inside. The sauce is well-balanced and adds great flavor to every bite. The staff are friendly and attentive, and the service is quick even during busy times.
