We had been excited to try 1914 House for a dual birthday celebration. Made a reservation for upstairs, but were seated downstairs. Did not see a server for 15 minutes after being seated and drinks took another 20. Finally got orders completely in after 40 minutes. 3 1/2 stars. Last evening my husband and I dined for the first time at the 1914 House. Lovely Holiday inspired subtle decorations were appreciated. Friendly staff. Delicious Brussels Sprouts appetizer. However then waited for over an hour for our meals. My husband felt his Chicken Piccata meal was over- salted including the mashed potatoes. Very nice atmosphere but service was marginal at best obviously they are understaffed. My shaved prime rib sandwich was rough and fatty daughters ribeye was very fatty and tasted like grease unfortunate for both wife’s eggplant parm was very good sorry but just not up to par, probably won’t be
