I recently dined at the Bon Ton, and it felt like stepping into a delightful Italian dream! The ambiance was a quirky mix of rustic charm and unexpected surprises, like a painting of a cat wearing a chef’s hat.

I ordered the homemade linguini and clams, and it was like each noodle was whispering secrets of ancient Italy. The flavors danced on my tongue like a waltzing octopus. The tiramisu? It was so good, I half-expected it to start serenading me.

The staff was wonderfully eccentric—Alix even did a little pasta-related interpretive dance! If you’re looking for a dining experience with incredible management and friendly staff this is the place to be. Highly recommend! Shout out to Blake, Lawrence, Dave, Madison, Kacie, Millie, Lindsey, Manuela, Lily, Jessica, Daysha, Bradley, Aurora, Mary, and Anikan Skywalker. Love you all!

Charming Italian restaurant in the heart of Ouray. Delicious entrée. Our appetizer: calamari was crisp and tasty and our Italian cream cake for dessert did not disappoint

stopped in for happy hour because we saw the sign advertising buy one get one half off from 4-5 . we asked what happy hour applied to and the pregnant lady shortly replied "mostly this stuff" and pointed at the menu. she wouldn't elaborate beyond that. we ordered two of the rum punch 14$ cocktails off the menu and the bartender proceeded to make us a really expensive captain morgan and pineapple juice with soda water. nothing like the cocktail listed on the menu. then when we received our bill there was magically no happy hour. we ordered our drinks at 10 till 5.

the menu promotes peach street liquor from palisade in the cocktails, but they did not have a single bottle from the distillery.

so 36$ for 2 weak captain morgan juice drinks later we will never consider returning for drinks or dinner.

I don’t know why this restaurant has a bad rating - we had such a good time here! I could not stop thinking about their food. This was such a treat for our mini-moon after getting married in Estes Park.

We got free bread to start, and my husband couldn’t stop raving about the tomato sauce.

We got the mussels as an appetizer. We have some back home that we loved, but these couldn’t beat it. Still delicious and a good serving size!

For main, I ordered the gnocchi and will never forget it. Homemade gnocchi just hits different. We noticed that the chef enjoys making the chicken Marsala and chicken piccata, so my husband got the chicken Marsala. He really enjoyed it!

We ended with limoncello shots (as I spent a summer in Italy and had to reminisce). They were the perfect sipping dessert drink.

Overall a wonderful experience! We definitely will be coming back to Ouray since we loved all the views and hiking, but this restaurant will definitely be on our list to return to.

I'm confused about the negative reviews here, we had an absolutely marvelous dining experience here. Quiet and refined atmosphere and delicious food. Great beer and drink selection, too bad the beers aren't on tap though.
It was not a busy night, so the head chef introduced himself to us and he was wonderful; very kind and happy to tell us about the signature dishes of the chicken Marsala and chicken piccata - we loved both. Highly recommend!

Excellent food, service, and atmosphere! Nice visit from the chef who explained how he made the wonderful chicken Marsala. Very broad menu, reasonably priced, very good value. More visitors to Ouray should know about this gem.

We've been going to this restaurant for 20 years. Unfortunately the new owners changed the entire menu and not for the better. Beware, the menu and pictures online are from the old menu! I rarely give a poor review but this deserves it. Our dinner last night was overpriced for low quality, basic Italian food. The atmosphere is incredibly special but the table we were sat at must have had a wobble because they just stuffed a white napkin under it. We had the caeser salad which had no dressing, chicken parmesean and the bolonese. It was a tiny piece of chicken with a skimpy amount of noodles. The bolenese was just a basic red sauce with some meat in it. Very disappointing. This used to be a very special place with delicious food. Unfortunately we will not go back.

My husband and I came here while visiting Ouray. Our appetizer was very good we got the arancini. For the main course I got the tortellini and my husband got the lasagna the lasagna was very good but not the best I've had which I kind of expected given the prices. The tortellini was cold undercooked and had a sweet almost sugary flavor to the pesto sauce I didn't even eat half of it. The atmosphere and service were amazing though.

We had dinner here last night, seated in the shaded courtyard, received immediate attention and service from the staff
Our meals were outstanding, from a a presentation taste and portion size- we had the mushroom ravioli, Cesar salad and chicken Marsala
Priced very reasonably, great value for money
Headed back there tonight!

No big deal our salads and main came out at the same time.

Food was edible, but not good at all. Ice cream scoops of mash potatoes were not from today and some of the asparagus was inedible.

So bad we didn't even complain, just pay the bill and never come back

Food was tasty, service was accommodating, the price for the portion is unfortunately lacking. Husband and I walked out still hungry after spending close to $100. Would recommend only if you're going for a light meal.

We absolutely loved our dinner at Bon Ton. We went on a Monday evening, so it was a bit slower in downtown. They helped us find a shaded spot outside and our waitress was very friendly! Our appetizer, arancini, was so delicious. I highly, highly recommend trying it! The pasta was also beautifully prepared as well.

With your meal, you get some bread, which was delicious!

The restaurant was reasonably priced for the experience and amount we ordered. There are cheaper options in ouray but none with the same date night atmosphere and amazing food. We ordered a cocktail, beer, one appetizer, and 2 entrees and our total was about $100.
