Love The Outlaw for a steak dinner (or their pasta dishes too!) and even brunch during certain times of the year. The ambiance is always lively and welcoming, especially when they have their live music going. The Miner’s Mule is our fave cocktail—very unique and we love the copper drinkware it comes in. It’s one of the best places to enjoy a meal in Ouray and don’t forget to check out John Wayne’s hat!

We had a reservation and they split our table up then charged us a 20% gratuity fee. Then claimed they were going to call the cops when we mentioned how they split us up and we didn’t think we should have to pay 20% extra. That is all that we said and they came over and immediately threatened to call the cops for what…. Do not go here. Everything is also insanely overpriced.
The owner replied to this with straight lies. The restaurant workers were 100% in the wrong. They provoked us by THREATENING US when we NEVER once refused to pay. Not once🤣 they got incredibly angry with us by the simple fact that we were frustrated with them not accommodating to our reservation that they agreed would work. The bride in our group called multiple times to ensure our party of 15 would work and they said yes multiple times. When people make a reservation no one ever expects to sit at completely separate tables and if that’s the case, SAY SO. We would not have made a reservation with this restaurant. Also they said we could have free dessert yet they never gave it to us lol. Disgusting people honestly. I feel bad for them. Also my group is not at all the first to complain about this restaurant threatening to call the cops when they did nothing wrong or remotely illegal so that should tell you something.

Atmosphere was super cool, the wooden shingles were fun to read. The place was popping. I got the ribeye and wish it had a little more flavor than what it did. Wife got the filet and ordered it medium but it was a little more medium well. Beautiful piano music though which was nice! And the fresh bread hit!
