I couldn’t imagine a better place to eat in the gorgeous little mountain town of Ouray.

Worst service received whilst on my US holiday at this deli - this guy needs to go. Was able to find an excellent option at the Bakery at the top of main street instead. "Good luck staying open with this service - you're gonna need it"

We won't eat there again, owner has an attitude not worthy of our business. When you forget who pays your bills it's time to pack it in.

When I approached the front counter and asked the owner, "Is it ok to have our dog on your patio?" He answered, "As long as he doesn't bite," and I replied, "No, he has never bitten anyone." I was a little startled at this but that was nothing, as he responded, "Yeah, that's what they all say until their dog bites someone."
Are you pet friendly or not? It didn't feel like he cared at all if we ate there or not. Why be so rude? Go elsewhere.

Restaurant is in a nice location, and has a great patio where you can enjoy the town. The man that took our ordered seemed put out by having customers come in. I paid over $80 for four of us to eat breakfast, which was ok. Don't be fooled! The Breakfast Burrito with green chili is not what it's painted to be. I ordered "smothered." Anyone who knows breakfast burritos, "smothered" knows that you are going to get green chili poured over the top like a gravy. Not this one. I paid $2 extra for a less than pleasing cheese sauce of some sort, and sour cream that was squirted over from the equivalent of a catsup bottle. What a joke! No flavor when it comes to "green chili." If there was "green chili," it must have been "made in New York City" as the old commercial says. :P If you want an expensive breakfast and decide to eat there, my wife ordered the French Toast, and I will say that it was good. If I were to ever return, I'd go that route. The question is, will I ever return. And so you aren't confused, we make trips to Ouray often throughout the year, so we will be back in the area, just maybe not Timerline Deli.

I wouldn't recommend their fried chicken. I do like my fried chicken on the extra side of crispy, but the breading was so crispy in some (many) places that it could chip a tooth if you aren't careful.
The salad was good. The French fries were excellent and crispy. The price was very reasonable.
The male owner didn't seem to care about my suggestion on their fried chicken. I'm not sure if there was too much baking powder in the breading or why it was just too hard to crumble up when chewing. It could seriously break or chip a tooth.
Under the breading was some good chicken.
The female owner seemed to care more but mainly said that the size of the chicken pieces weren't to her liking, and that is what the vendor sends them. The wing was a little small but I knew this when I ordered it. I was still full and got enough food to eat when I left.

Expensive meal of ice cold fries served with sweet, dry, over-battered & over-fried chicken that looked small enough to be squab. I couldn't eat more than a third, it was so bad.
My husband's club sandwich seemed to be good, if crazily overpriced.
Parking: Ouray is crazy busy in the summer. Be prepared to park a block or two away and walk.

I really don't know what the low overall rating is about. This place is great! Away from the crowd, solid service, great music and the food is on point.
