We are visiting from out of town and stopped in to grab dinner. I noticed an “early bird” special, where a filet mignon, and two sides was $16.99, if purchased before 6:00 PM. Wow! The filet mignon was excellent— perfectly cooked with wonderful flavor. I had a baked potato, which came with sour cream, butter, and garnish as well, and the side salad, which is a single trip through the salad bar. We stopped in while on a hunting trip. They played good music at a reasonable sound level. The food and service were good but not as good as I thought it could be since there were just a few tables and 2 waitresses.

The food was very reasonably priced, generous portion sizes, and delicious! I got the patty melt and my partner got the slopper, an open face burger smothered in green chili. Both dishes were fantastic, super delicious and rich but not overly heavy.
