Came for reggae. Service was very accommodating for our pup. Not sure about the reviews saying staff was slow or inattentive. They were very helpful for us! Happy hour 4-5 was good also.

Creepy, scary place. Don’t go alone if you absolutely must patronize this horrid place.

Laid back fun restaurant with an outdoor music venue. Great service. From all the wait staff.

We were really looking forward to visiting, but after waiting a long time without being served and rudeness from the bartenders, we decided to leave. Hope they can improve their attentiveness & maybe I’ll try again the next time I am passing through Pagosa.

Decent food but downright terrible service. Disappointing dining experience due to careless wait staff and lack of kitchen management. For our group of three, 1 order took 40 mins, 2nd came out 20 minutes later and a total of 1 hour 20 minute wait for the third order.

Food was good however the service lacked. We came in at 7:30pm they said they closed at 8pm we ordered right away and got drinks immediately. The food however was a different story. We had three people and our food came out separately after a very long wait. First food came out roughly 40 minutes after being ordered the second persons food came out after an hour and the third order never came went up to the bartender to see what happened and she said “your the lucky winner your ticket got lost” this could of been easily mitigated however our server never checked back in on us ever and never saw the orders were missing because a food runner delivered it. The appetizer never came until the very last order which we cancelled. The food that did come was very good however the service made it a very bad experience. The restaurant only had 2-3 tables at the time and there was no apparent rush of them also ordering food all at the same time to back the kitchen up.

If you’re considering eating at El Camino inside the Moko Hotel, do yourself a favor: don’t. I’ve been in the restaurant industry for over 8 years, and I can honestly say this was one of the most poorly executed, carelessly handled, and utterly frustrating dining experiences I’ve ever had.

Let’s start with the wait: 1 hour and 20 minutes for a single burger and some slaw. That’s not a typo. One. Hour. Twenty. Minutes. She took our order and the never checked on us again for an hour twenty. Thirty-five minutes in, I walked up to the bar and politely asked our server where the food was. Her response? A snarky remark about them only having “two fryers” (which, by the way, is plenty to run a full restaurant). Later, the manager admitted they only have one fryer anyway—so she lied. And she didn’t even bother checking on our order—just brushed me off with “they’re working on it” and an attitude.

Food came out staggered—one guest’s meal, then another, and mine? Nowhere. Eventually, they admitted they’d forgotten to put my order in entirely. The exact words? “You’re the lucky winner—we lost your ticket.” No apology. No urgency. No sense of responsibility. They offered me 50% off and a drink, which I accepted at the time just to salvage the night… but then another 30 minutes passed before my burger arrived. And when it finally did? Missing the side. Missing the sauce. Botched anyway.

If that wasn’t bad enough, they didn’t even turn on the patio lights—so we literally had to eat in the dark using our phone flashlights. The restaurant closed around us, and only after I bluntly told them this was one of the worst dining experiences I’d ever had did they finally offer a weak apology. By then, the damage was done.

The server clearly didn’t care—so much so that she sent a coworker to deal with me rather than face the mess she’d created. And here’s the kicker: the owner was there the entire time and couldn’t be bothered to step in or make things right.

This place had potential, but potential means nothing if the staff—and ownership—have zero pride in what they do. This wasn’t just bad service; it was a complete failure of basic hospitality and competence.

Verdict: Ridiculous, unprofessional, and absolutely not worth your time or money. I will never eat here again, and I will make sure everyone I know hears exactly how awful it was.

Food and vibe were excellent. The service was a bit iffy but we didn’t quite know what to expect. Might be better if we did.

Was in town from Denver and was lucky enough to find this gem. Wow, quintessential Colorado indeed. Loved the vibe, the people, the drinks, food was great and the bands killed. Can't wait to get back and spend way too much time here. Cheers!

This place is almost magical. Every time they’re open, something special is going on! Music, a party, fun and good crazy stuff. If the OPEN sign is on, I go in no matter where I was going!

We stopped in early July mid afternoon after a ride thru the mountains. Food & Drinks were good & prices were decent. Pretty attentive gal that took order. Would stop again. Good parking if you're pulling a trailer.

Such an awesome place to hang out. Great live music out back. Friendly locals and people passing by at the bar. Rad bartenders (Karlie, Alisha (from WI) and Mike) who make a mean margarita and fabulous food offerings! Service is prompt and always with a smile. Patrons are engaging and if you have a bad time well that’s on you!
Swing by you won’t regret it!!!

Parking: Plenty of parking out front and back and to the side near the OHVs for sale.

My husband & I came to see a band so we were ordering food & drinks for nearly 3 hours. We expected to spend over $100 before tip. My husband forgot to fill in the tip and closed the tab. A few minutes later he asked for the bill to see the total so he could leave the tip in cash. THIS IS BAD: They added 30% to our bill, $35 for an unauthorized tip. That’s unethical & probably illegal.
I was furious but didn’t say much and had it taken off and we then added around 18%. What they did seems like straight theft. I’m still pretty mad about it. The food was okay, I did like it but kinda pricey as all restaurants are now. The drinks were “okay “ not bad but they could do better.
I would not complain despite the prices but stealing by means of making an unauthorized charge on my credit card is BAD. The service was not bad at all, but I have to think she knew they added $35 to our bill and that means she lied to us when we asked if we left a tip and she said, “she didn’t know”. We would never stiff on a tip but we should have after that. Also, they said that they “default” to a 30% tip if it’s left blank. REALLY? because sometimes we leave cash tips. That’s pretty messed up!
