Square Top Bar-B-Que

I had a chopped beef sandwich. The barbecue itself was quite good. (I’m from Central, Texas, and I know my barbecue).
My issue was the portion size. It was the smallest chopped beef I’ve ever been served ,perhaps since the elementary school cafeteria.I certainly could’ve eaten a second one easily, but at that price I don’t think so.
My other “beef” was that the woman who evidently is the owner was quite sour and unpleasant.
Again, I’m from Texas, so maybe I expect the person running the place I’m eating to at least be Semi friendly.

BBQ with a view! 😍 Turkey breast and pulled pork are amazing : moist and nicely seasoned with spices but without sauce ... Just perfect for me and my low carb lifestyle 👍 Of course, you can add sauce on top if you want 😉

Everything was top notch! I was skeptical before we went but once the food arrived that disappeared. The food was amazing! And that BBQ sauce, 🤤! The best BBQ I have had in CO so far. The service was very friendly and had a good laid back atmosphere. We sat outside and enjoyed the nice weather and beautiful view. Would definitely recommend stopping here!!!

We ordered for a party of 20+ to go. We had pulled pork, baked beans, and the slaw. Everyone enjoyed it and the food is excellent! They provided us with plenty of buns, pickles (so tasty), sauce (would love to see them create a spicy sauce as well), and eating utensils. Everyone that helped us, from the young lady that took our order to the two gentlemen that helped us at pick up time were very helpful and friendly (my apologies for not remembering names).
I highly recommend Square Top and will go back next time we are in Pagosa Springs!

Overall, a really good experience! It was a bit of a bummer that about half of the menu was sold out by the time we got there at five. The food that we did end up getting was delicious though! We got one of the sandwiches and the shredded brisket. Super delicious! There was practically nobody there. Workers were overall friendly. About $17 per dish and the portions were medium-sized. Not enough for leftovers.

I don’t know why it took us so long to try Square Top, but we’re certainly glad we did. We go there primarily for the pork ribs, which are excellent: tender, exceptionally well-seasoned, and not fatty. These are probably the best ribs I’ve had. The cheddar-jalapeño sausages, slaw, and charro beans are also excellent. We highly recommend STBBQ for the carnivores out there.

Staff is amazing! Don't get me started on the food. If you're in Pagosa Springs Square Top Bar-B-Que is the best....

Stellar TX bbq, which isn't easy to find in sw CO. The turkey is incredible; brisket and sausage are solid. And the sides are sensational. Best deck with a view in Pagosa, too!

Delicious food! The potato bread, is so delicious with the brisket and turkey. Definitely a must try!

Tried brunch today. Food was amazing. One thing wrong...the shrimp in the shrimp and grits had the complete shell. Too messy to get the shell off.
