When my friend suggested we go to The Den for pizza, I thought it was primarily a pizza place. When I got inside, I realized it is primarily a bar. Neither my friend nor I drink alcohol, so I wasn't sure how comfortable I was going to be.We went in about 4:30 on a Saturday afternoon. There were three guys sitting at the bar, but no other customers in the place. The place looked like a college bar in a strip mall, although the sporty Bigfoot outlines on the wall were cool. There's a pool table too.We didn't know if we should seat ourselves or if we had to order at the bar. We stood awkwardly near the door until the bartender said across the room that we could sit wherever we wanted.We picked a table, and in a while the bartender (who I guess was also the server) brought us menus and took our drink orders.The bartender/server was exceedingly polite in our every interaction with him. He gave impeccable customer service.My friend ordered the pirate pizza, which featured green chiles on it as well as other toppings. I kept it simple and got a mushroom pizza. Pizzas here come in 12 inch and 16 inch size. We each got our own 12 inch.It did take a while for the pizzas to get to us. The bartender/server did apologize for the wait. Once we got the pizzas, we knew the wait was worth it.The pizzas were piping hot and the crust was thin and crispy. I enjoyed the crust so much! Also, these pizzas had more cheese on them than any other pizza I've ever had anywhere. These things were super cheesy!My friend and I are big eaters, but neither of us could eat more than half of the food we were served. You can bet we boxed the leftovers to take home.I would come here for the pizza again. Also, a worker I chatted with at the Walmart customer service counter said the mushroom burgers at The Den are REALLY good. (Note: The Den does not offer veggie burgers.)
Vegetarian options: No veggie burger on the menu, but you can get a pizza with no meat.
Parking: The Den is in a strip mall, so parking is in the strip mall's lot. There is plenty of place to park.
Kid-friendliness: This place is primarily a bar. I don't know if kids are allowed. Maybe they are since this place serves food. I am unsure.

This was some of the best pizza we have had in a while! The staff was great and made sure we were well taken care of. We will definitely be back! (The jalapeño popper pizza was amazing!)

If I could give 0 stars, I would. Waited over an hour to be told that the order of pizza wasn't even started yet. People who came after us ordered, ate and left. 2 hours later ( and only stayed because the kids were hungry and it's late and in the a middle of nowhere) disgusting, over salted and over sugared , sad excuse of a pizza arrives. Save yourself a misery and go elsewhere.

My family and I stopped in after a day at wolf creek. We were seated right away and our food came out quickly. The burgers were all really tasty. We loved the open face green Chile burger, jalapeño popper burger and double burger. Really yummy food, would come back again.

If you're an out of town do not ever come here!! They have so many locals that will intimidate you with your kids that not to come here. I went here and I was so intimidated to take pictures. If you come from Texas Arizona do not stop at this spot!! There's gangsters and even the bartender is on in it too. If you love your kids there's more stuff to do Pagosa do not go TO THE DEN

We had pretty low expectations and most other restaurants are closed on Mondays so we stopped here on our way out of town. Service was quite slow. Half of our food order was forgotten and brought at the end of our meal. The cheeseburger we received was incredibly dry. The wings were decent. We left with a moderate amount of food uneaten because it just wasn’t great.

The hours listed are wrong. We came here specifically because we read it was the best sports bar in Pagosa Springs and it would be open for the 11 o’clock football game, but it wasn’t even open. Just wanted to let others know so that you don’t make the same mistake we did and drive all the way here! It is NOT open for the 11 o’clock games on Sundays.

This place is the bar to go to if you're looking for excellent late night food, a good atmosphere and the best wait staff! We thoroughly enjoyed our experience. All of the wait staff were attentive and friendly. The pizza was delicious and the cheese curds were some of the best I've had. We will definitely be back! Keep it up, you guys!!

Medow was very helpful in food choice. They have a very extensive. I was brave and tried something out of the normal, it was awesome. The wings were cooked perfectly, the sauce was great. The potatoe wedges were crispy and perfect. The mixed drinks are really good as well. I definitely will stop in again before we leave.
