**anyone going to Slice o Life from December 24th- March 5th***Bakery is closed during this time EVERY year for winter season (Has been her way for over 40 years as a small business).Leaving negative reviews about a family owned bakery , that is closed for the season, is WILD.

I really wanted to love this place. The woman behind the counter was great and all of the baked goods in the case looked so delicious. The woman was so nice to let me know that some of the cookies were discounted if you bought several. I thanked her and said that I was looking for something more savory. I decided on a burrito which she then told me was premade in the refrigerator for me to grab and microwave myself. I should have politely declined right then, but I thought I'd give it a shot. As I was warming up my food, I saw an older woman come from the back room and tell the woman at the counter not to announce to customers that they can save money if they buy more cookies. She only wanted to give people a discount if they saw the sign and asked for it. What kind of weird, shady business practice is that? To top it off, the burrito was small and bland even after I had it smothered in pork green chili. Everything in there is overpriced, too. YOU ARE IN A SMALL FARM TOWN! WHAT ARE YOU DOING WITH VAIL PRICES?!? No thanks.

Slice O Life is the best!1. The employees are so kind! The first time I ever went, there was a lady there who was so kind to me at the register. Xavier is amazing and very kind! He recommended the Australian bun? I think is what it was called and it made me cry tears of joy.2. The tuna melt is outstanding!3. Pb and J with banana is a throwback childhood dream!4. The adorable quote on the wall is the cutest thing I have ever seen!5. Just go and enjoy!

This bakery is really cute and a real life saver with great coffee and yummy treats!! It's locally owned and they were so helpful and kind. I would absolutely support this business every time I'm in town!
Great little spot with super fresh baked goods. Try the Ham roll for breakfast. Delish!!

Best spiced chai tea latte EVER!!! We just went in for tea/coffee but we couldn't leave without trying some of their amazing looking pastries. My favorite was the Australian cream bun which was filled with fresh fruit and oh so delicious. We also tried the cinnamon roll and the hello Dollie's and everything was so good. I'm sure you can't go wrong with anything you order here!! And the staff were so sweet and patient as we long debated the perfect item to buy.

Biscuits and gravy (only sat) was delicious. So was leave cinnamon roll and the green chili sauce is some of the best I've had.

A very popular and great eatery to go any time. We stopped by to pickup lunch for 4 before we went up on the Grand Mesa for the day to see fall colors. Their menu is excellent, and the quality of their food is very good. Eat in or take out.

Had read plenty of good reviews for Slice O' Life and decided to try. Ordered the Veggie Sandwich to go along with chocolate chip cookies. Sandwich was incredibly soggy when I attempted to eat it. Got through two bites before I gave up. And the chocolate chip cookies were nothing more than Nestle Toll House quality - disappointing for what they cost.
