Rory's Diner: A Step Back in Time and a Feast for the Soul

My wife and I stopped in at Rory’s Diner for brunch before a day of thrifting, and let me tell you—this place is a hidden gem! From the moment we walked in, we were transported to another era. The classic diner atmosphere, complete with neon lighting, vintage road signs, and touches of old-school car culture, made us feel like we’d stepped straight into the 1950s.

Finding the diner was easy thanks to clear signage—you enter a larger beautiful building and head left—but the exterior, which looks like a historic home, adds a unique charm to the experience.

Now, let’s talk food, because Rory’s didn’t just meet expectations; it blew them away! The coffee was a solid start, but the real magic arrived with the food. First up, the star of the show: the rhubarb strawberry turnover. It was everything you want in a pastry—perfectly flaky, filled with warm, sweet fruit that was a total delight. I’m honestly salivating just thinking about it.

My wife ordered the breakfast sliders, which were generously portioned and full of flavor. I went for the smothered chicken biscuit, topped with their jalapeño cream gravy, and wow—it’s a must-try. The gravy has just the right amount of kick, balanced by its incredible flavor, and the entire dish felt like comfort food at its finest. The portions were so generous that we couldn’t finish, but even the leftovers were heavenly.

Rory’s Diner isn’t just a place to grab a meal—it’s an experience that feeds your body and your spirit. If you’re craving soul food with a nostalgic twist, don’t miss this spot. You’ll leave with a full belly, a happy heart, and maybe even a to-go box of that unforgettable turnover.

Came in about 12:30. Not very busy, only a few tables. Ordered 2 club sandwiches, took a little bit for sandwiches to come out, and the server brought them without our fries and onion rings. The fryer got turned off, so it was going to be a while. We finished eating sandwiches when sides came out. Very greasy. The onion rings were an upcharged of $2.00 and sent them back, not very many, and very greasy. They did take them off the bill. We have been several times before, and service and food have always been good , but this time, both were below standards.

As a retail shop owner, the days leading up to some holidays are hectic. I purchased a to-go turkey dinner for 4 for Thanksgiving and it was delicious and affordable. The pick up was easy and seamless. Highly recommend!

Rorys used to be amazing, lately it's been nothing but poorly cooked potato's and wrong orders. It doesn't matter if your dinning in or ordering for pickup. Try out one of parkers other local dinners.

Rory’s Diner is an absolute gem! Their apple and pumpkin pies are out-of-this-world delicious, and they’ve become a cherished tradition for our Annual Pie Event. This year, Rory’s outdid themselves by baking over 100 pies for us, and every single one was a hit with our clients! The flavors, the flaky crusts, and the perfect balance of sweetness never disappoint.

I was lucky enough to snag the last one for myself, and it was pure heaven. Beyond the incredible pies, the team at Rory’s is so friendly, professional, and reliable. It’s always a pleasure working with them. Thank you, Rory’s Diner, for making our event such a success year after year! We can’t wait to order from you again.

Thank you, Brandi for everything! 🥧

All this food was incredible. Theres a bathroom, and everything is clean. Everything is made fresh. And the staff is friendly. The aesthetic is great all around. I cant think of something bad about it, like Im really trying. Everything is affordable and worth the cost.

I ordered pick up for my family and we had the loaded potato’s with green chili , the food was good based on what I could eat. The problem I ran into is my mom and I ordered the same loaded potatoes but mines Was vegetarian and hers was pork green chili. The problem is I’m allergic to green chili and first off the box’s were not labeled and second when we opened the box it was potato green chili then chess melted all over the top . So you couldn’t see anything els. So first my mom attempted to take a bite of each and she could not tell then we seen a tomato that looked like it might be A distinction of the vegetarian green chili so she gave that one to me. I took about 3 bites over about 25minutes and something dint feel right as I started to move more through the cheese I noticed a little piece of meat. My mother instantly calls the restaurant, the first rep seemed a little hesitant to help her so she asked to speak to the manager , the manager starts stating she doesn’t understand what happened, so I explained I was allergic to pork and the Box’s were not labeled and the cheese covered so much of the green chili we couldn’t see anything. So she says “well we gave you what you ordered “ so I don’t understand the problem “ I repeated I was allergic to pork and the to go box’s were not labeled so I ate some of the wrong food . She says well we gave you what you wanted our box’s are black … in the end it was her playing victim and me requesting my money back.

A warm, beautifully kitschy, nostalgic, quiet restaurant, serving from-scratch dishes. One of the few places I’ve found in the last years that has an excellent sausage gravy and biscuits breakfast entree where the components of the dish were obviously NOT commercially mass-produced. Definitely will be back to enjoy more dishes!
