Rory's Diner

Went to this restaurant a few times in October of 2024 when I visited Colorado, and it was always excellent for breakfast and lunch.
Went for dinner tonight and got their prime rib. On a scale from 1-10, I would rate it about a 2.
It was very tough, and not tender, whatsoever.
In fact, it was actually a real struggle to cut it---- even with a steak knife.
After being seated and given my drink, it was about fifteen to twenty minutes before the server came back to take my order. :(

This place had too many sensory things going on for me I couldn’t enjoy myself. I came for dinner at 6:15pm and they were mopping the back section with very strong-smelling cleaner. The smell was everywhere and extremely off-putting. Aren’t diners supposed to smell like coffee and comfort food? It was cold. The chairs scraped on the floor. The lighting is dark. The server had bad breath. I left early with my food to go. Then when I tried to make a quick exit off the patio, the gate wouldn’t push open.

There were at least 4 servers standing around, yet my order still wasn’t ready on time. If it’s going to take more than 10 minutes, please don’t say it will be ready in 2 minutes. Managing expectations is a very basic part of good service. Accuracy and honesty go a long way in customer satisfaction.

The BEST breakfast we’ve ever had. I got pancakes and my husband got the breakfast quesadillas. We wound up splitting both because we loved them both so much!

Rorys is a get local spot. Been here for breakfast and dinner. Great good. Today tried making a custom breakfast burger with an egg on top and potatoes instead of fries (started with a cowboy). Yum! Will be back!

Biscuits and gravy wasn't great. Gravy had no flavor. Scrambled eggs had sections of snotty egg.

Great place, we go every week! Super nice staff (minus one employee) but no where is perfect. 1960's environment and great cooks! They deserve all the support they can get. The staff are friends with at least half the customers.

The buttermilk chicken sandwich is TO DIE FOR!! The burger is ok but the bun was too soggy.

Came here for lunch. The environment is great. Felt nice and fresh from the outside. The decor was nice also. The food was good. We ordered some burgers. They tasted great. Service, on the other hand, was average. Nothing special. I would not come out of my way to eat here, but if in the neighborhood, I would eat here again. Now I do want to come back and try their breakfast. It looks really good.
