4 stars is good and 5 is great! I ordered a Chile Relleno and the Fajitas Tropicana with shrimp and steak. The Chile Relleno was nice and crisp and packed great flavor with the smothered green chile. My Fajitas were served on a half pineapple and the flavor fully matched the great presentation. I highly recommend trying this!! My server was awesome and she kept our drinks full and checked in politely and appropriately. Whether you are a local that has not tried these items or someone passing by The Town of Platteville off HWY85, make sure to give Tio Juan’s a try.

Tio Juan’s is our absolute favorite place to eat! Their food is delicious and their drinks are unique and delicious. The service is always wonderful, everyone is so kind and helpful. We live 45 minutes away and will gladly make the drive to eat here as often as we can!

We have been here many times. On our visit yesterday I ordered three soft tacos. I was served three tortillas laid on a plate overlapping each other and all the fillings down the center making it just one huge mess. Couldn't pickup and eat like a taco, tired cutting it with a knife and fork; it just turned into a big sloppy inedible pile of goo. I complained to our waitress twice and sent my plate back barely eaten. She said she couldn't do anything because she was just the server. Really! They didn't offer to re-make the tacos or apologize and charged me full price. We won't be back.
Excellent little place to pick up some delicious food. I tried the carne esada and was very impressed. Large portions, delicious tortillas and if you like it hot then order a roasted jalapeño and enjoy! Will definitely be stopping back inn here next time I'm in the area.

This is probably the best food places for this town even through this town is small it’s still good and the ladies over they are nice and kind.Even though it takes 20- 30 mins it’s wall painting and things surrounding show it’s a real Mexican shop.But most people hate the price but I think that’s normal for a small town like this.like supply and demand is off but this is good place even I would highly recommend to go to this place to feel a Mexican restaurant!
