Easily the Worst Chinese Food I’ve Ever Had
I can say with absolute confidence that this was the worst Chinese food I’ve ever eaten. I haven’t been to China, but I’ve had plenty of American-style Chinese food — and this was hands down the most disappointing experience I’ve ever had.
Everything we ordered lacked depth, flavor, or care. I’ve had frozen Chinese food from Walmart that impressed me more than Asian Garden. For $60 (for myself, my wife, and our two young kids), the food was simply not worth it.
Here’s the breakdown:
Fried Rice: Mushy, flavorless, and nearly devoid of egg. It tasted like old leftover rice, not freshly cooked.
Cheese Wontons: Undercooked and doughy.
Egg Rolls: Looked fine, but almost no cabbage inside. The spicy mustard was thick, jelly-like, and not spicy at all.
Sweet & Sour Chicken: Bland, watery sauce, overcooked vegetables.
Kung Pao Chicken: No spice, no flavor, one peanut total. Chilies were dry and seemed thrown in last-minute.
Bao Bao Platter: Fried shrimp tasted like fast food; ribs were dry but decent; chicken and pork overcooked.
Hot & Sour Soup: The best thing we had — and it was still disappointing. Watery yet gelatinous broth, massive mushroom chunks, and one lonely cube of tofu.
Even reheated, the food didn’t improve — which says a lot, because good Chinese food usually gets better the next day.
The service was acceptable, but the food was a complete letdown. I don’t wish them harm, but I truly hope they can someday reach the quality that so many other small-town restaurants — like Jade Café in Florence or China Garden in Cañon City — already deliver.
This meal wasn’t worth the money, the time, or the calories. My family won’t be returning

It might have been a rough day for this restaurant. But the food was cold and looked like it had been sitting out for a while. The staff on the other hand were friendly and helpfull. Unfortunately my father ended up sick later that night. I don't think I'll be going back.

It's a buffet so it's impersonal dining, food quality was mediocre and over all fair, all you can eat for sixteen bucks. Would I recommend it.. emmm not so much.

This place was awesome! Only issue I see is they could have more options for food but other than that, great place!

Came here for my twins' birthday and graduation celebration they wanted a Chinese buffet, and the food was nasty. I was so disappointed. The only thing that tasted halfway decent was the egg drop soup.Ice cream was so hard we skipped it and picked up shakes at Sonic. Was watched the whole time we were eating like we were going to run out the door. It's definitely overpriced. I could have driven to the springs and eaten at the buffet there and drove back for the price I paid there, which i will be doing from now on. Oh, and my son has been sick as a dog since we left. 0 stars
I think this is a great place if you are looking for a quick meal and love simple buffets. My only issues with the food is that it was generic, same products as other cheap Chinese buffets. They had some good common stuff like orange chicken and sesame chicken. I didn't like how they had so many options with shrimp however, I don't think that much shrimp is necessary. Finally, the price for 2 people was around $40 which for the quality of food honestly is a bit expensive considering you can go to other cheap Chinese buffets and find the same exact food.
The meat was unidentifiable. Pickup order had an extra entree, but we couldn't figure out what it was supposed to be? Crab rangoon was over-fried. Egg Foo Young was a flavorless quiche. A large amount of flavorless sauce came with the pork and vegetables. The vegetables themselves were great. Very bland, everything was nearly flavorless. Better and cheaper option right across Hwy50
