Since the new owners have taken over the Hen House, everything has gone down hill. We wanted to sit by a window and the server told us no, then our waitress was too busy talking to the other employees and we had to sit and wait for her to come take our orders and it wasn’t even busy (only 4 other couples were there eating). Food was horrible and they charged us $6.50 each for a tiny cup of green chili to pour over our omelettes and the waitress forgot to bring my husbands and when he asked her about it, she was really rude to him! We will NEVER go back to eat at the Hen House, truly disgusting behavior and food!

There breakfast is great but lunch and dinner are subpar. Son had a Hamberger and fries for 13.99 it was a plain burger and they brought him out what could only be a vary small fries. He didn't eat any of it and the fries he did eat he spit out. Husband got a chicken fried stake it wasn't beat down flat it came out in a big ball and was burnt. The best part of the meal was a small bowl of fried okra. Seats were vary uncomfortable. The waitress was great. There prices are a little high. But over all you want a good breakfast place I recommend but not lunch or dinner
They do not have this in the menus be aware 20% of $70 and more they only have it posted on a board where nobody can see it

I instantly loved this place. Food was awesome best fried okra I've had in years, Chicken fried steak was bees knees. Waitress was a gracious friendly host . If you love mom And pop places with great food this is where to go.thank y'all see y'all again

The catfish is frozen from the supply store and tastes gross with bad floury breading. Got served raw catfish today due to someone trying to fry frozen fillets. Paid the premium for the bigger dinner and the fillets were undersized, tough on the thin sections, and raw in the thick sections. Staff was apologetic and sweet and to their credit didn't charge for the meal.
We should have bit the bullet and gone up to the Springs to Waffle House for real breakfast food..

We arrived and they put us at a table you’d see at a yard sale. Ordered our drinks asked for coffee took me asking 3 times for my coffee had to ask the people who set you at the table for my coffee. Breakfast burrito tasted so gross. My children’s French toast was burnt. Bacon was hard as a rock (my kids LOVE bacon and they wouldn’t even touch it). I paid for my order and she asked how everything was and I told her it could have been better. All she said was “I’m sorry” this was my first experience there and I will never go back that’s how good the food was
We went and we're put in a room with plastic folding tables ,that were warped. They forgot we were there, my husband had to ask after seeing others get served and orders taken.of we would be helped no apologies. Food was , not up to par and never were of checked on gor drink refills. I used to love this place ..but I think this and sealed the deal of me.
