A wonderful store if you're completely healthy. I couldn't find anything that would be friendly to my diabetes or my chronic kidney disease, which require whole grains and no sugar. But if you're healthy this is a great place to stock up.
My goodness, I placed this review 6 years ago! And a little over 2 hours ago I got a reply. Maybe that's why this bakery is under new management! And you deliver? Fresh baked bread? I think that was the issue I wanted to buy a loaf of bread and it was nothing there except cookies and pastries. This comment is being left on the 6th of January otherwise known as capital invasion Day as well as presidential vote certification day 2024. The reply that I just got was from a comment I made in 2018. My wife was still alive. I was still living in a home on Dittmer that we own for 27 years. And I was probably a little more health conscious. Now I'm 81 years old and I'll eat anything that tastes good. The only health that even concerns me at all is whether or not the oil needs to be changed in my new car or whether I have a toothache lol

So happy t report this place is actually eatable again infact it is quite good again while it is still not as good as when Mary owned it it is way better than the last time only complaint is that they don’t follow their hours and last I checked got rid of their facebook page so

My daughter went to Hopscotch this morning for one rice crispy treat. With a severe peanut allergy, she asked if they were peanut free and was told “yes”. Within 20 minutes of consuming, she was vomiting with hives, 20 minutes after that she was short of breath with a heart rate of 150 bpm. After applying epinephrine, the paramedics came to our house. We transported her to the Parkview ER, where she is now for at least three hours on her birthday.
At the ER, I called Hopscotch to inform the “manager” of the situation. She stated their rice crispy treats have PEANUT BUTTER, but she “didn’t serve her”, somehow making it ok. This person had zero empathy and a denial of the situation.
Food Allergies are serious, a restaurant owner in Great Britain was sentenced to a prison sentence for using peanut oil without telling patrons, after a couple of young female patrons died.
My daughter will be fine, but no one with or without allergies should go to this establishment.

We just got back to our hotel after ordering 7 different items from here and everything we ate was absolutely amazing!!!!! The lavender cookies are so good and the Tres leches cake was to die for!!! This place is definitely worth the stop!!! We still have a few items we haven't tried yet because we are full now. But if theu are anything like the ones we have tried already, we know we won't be disappointed.

Very disappointed. I love Hopscotch, but my recent visit made me very upset. All of the goods were stale and dry. My cheesecake had a thick stale crust, and the raspberry royale cookies were both crumbly and hard (not good). A very young daughter seemed to be working, and her mother was inattentive to customers. It was an unpleasant encounter with unpleasant baked goods.

Paid close to $40 (with tax) for a Raspberry cheesecake. This is what my guests said: “This is a joke.”; “It’s so thin.”; “Sara Lee would have been better.”; “Wow, that’s a letdown.”; “Total rip off.”; “They used a spray gun to apply the thinnest possible layer of raspberry.”; “It’s not fresh.”; “All I taste is graham cracker…where’s the cheesecake?”; “There’s no taste.” “It doesn’t shout fresh.” “Nothing but dessert from Schusters bakery from now on.” Gotta do better, Hopscotch…maybe rethink that “cheesecake.” Your other offerings may be much better. They look great in the store.

I went and purchased bread last week, got home & it was hard and had mold on the underside. I figure things happen so I took it back, the lady made me feel like I was crazy (since i was just made that morning)got another loaf, went home cut into and mold on the inside. I WON'T EVER GO BACK!!
Cute small shop with outdoor seating on a very cute street. Their baked goods have some variety to leave everyone satisfied. Brownies, cookies, pastries all delightful!
