This place is awful
The door to go inside has been getting locked and staying locked. I do deliveries in the morning, and I go inside to pick up any order so I'm not in the way at the drive-thru. Recently their doors have been staying locked I don't know why it's not like you can go in there and dine in I witnessed three guys from the fire department trying to go inside to order because they can't take their engine to the drive-thru. The very moment I pull in I pull into the drive-thru and witness a young gentleman getting out and unlocking it and he seemed to have a very ungraceful tone about opening the door he goes back inside opens the window and asks what I would like to order I tell him I'm there for a pickup I tell him the name they close the window and I'm sitting in the drive-thru for, I kid you not, 27 minutes! It took nearly half an hour to get that order and then I had to drive another 10 to 15 minutes to take it to the customer and they were very upset with the long wait which causes them to leave me a bad review like I'm the problem if I decline an offer from any restaurant not just Taco stop, My ratings will go down I dread doing an order from this location because they take forever The employees all seem to have some sort of attitude they leave the back door open constantly I see someone always taken out boxes and trash but we are on a pretty rough side of the neighborhood and it is a bit dirty in that area. I've had a couple of friends say that they steal your card information so do not pay with a card here just pay with cash folks have been noticing strange charges after using their card at this location.

My wife wanted a burrito for breakfast the other day so we head over to Taco stop we ordered two breakfast burritos one with no cheese sure enough both of them had cheese one of them had extra like it was thrown in there sarcastically The bacon was a little soft but it was fine The tortilla was kind of cold it started cracking in several spots The burritos themselves we're barely even wrapped tightly A lot of the food was falling out this area is just bad this location is terrible Don't go to this spot Go to the one on highway 50

I just went through the drive-through at taco stop on Abriendo and I want you to know that the young man working at them window was quite terrible. Very rude. Had a hoodie over his head could barely speak handed me my food out the window like he was shoving it at me. It’s hard to believe that the taco was not even put together the tacos were thrown in a box and all the meat and everything outside of the shell. I just don’t understand this kind of bullshit so I call back. Nobody answers the phone because I want to find out who the owner is so I can have a conversation with the owner I won’t be back. what kind of establishment is this?

Ordered burritos about a week ago, the tortilla wasn't warmed up, pretty much breaking. Bacon was so CHEWY and nothing but FAT. They make sure to lock their door so you can't go in and order, so even if you call ahead, you have to wait in line for people to order and wait for their orders. Ridiculous. I'm sure the owner doesn't know about that.
They never answer the phone or have it off the hook. They always have that back door open and pretty gross if you realize the area it's in! One of the girl workers who's been there for 15 years probably lol is a scam, she makes sure to close the window when she has your card, and I've have fraudulent charges since using my card there!! Food is always cold, just a waste of time and money.

I usually hit the north side one which is always on point. But was on this side of town and got a bowl of menudo after a long night and it was shameful. If I poured out the juice I would be left with probably 15-20% actual hominy and tripe. might as well had advertised it as menudo juice drink. šŸ˜†šŸ˜†. Trip to North Side woulda been worth it šŸ’Æ

I’ve been going to this place since the late nineties and it Use to be good food but now it’s bland with little flavor or salt not to mention it takes 15minutes for two burritos. And the owner wonders why their sales are down, sad just sad.

A Tale of Two Taco Stops: One Worthy of Praise, One Deserving This Scathing Review šŸ”„

Let me start by making one thing painfully clear: this Taco Stop is NOT affiliated with the stellar Taco Stop on HWY 50 and Baltimore in Pueblo. That place is a beacon of customer service, flavor, and pride. This one? A shadow of what it once was—a sad, flavorless echo.

I’m genuinely heartbroken to write this, because I used to love coming here. But the decline has been swift and brutal. The cashier—a young man who looks like he’d rather be anywhere else—treats customers like an inconvenience. He rushes you through the menu like you’re holding up his day, and if you dare take a moment to decide, he sulks and ignores you like a child nursing hurt feelings. It’s not just unprofessional—it’s downright disrespectful.

And the food? Once a highlight of my week, now a soggy, bland disappointment. The taste has plummeted, the presentation is sloppy, and the pride that used to shine through every bite is gone. It’s like the soul of this place was vacuumed out and replaced with apathy.

Meanwhile, the HWY 50 Taco Stop continues to thrive—friendly faces, vibrant flavors, and a team that actually cares. It’s night and day. If you’re craving tacos and dignity, go there. This location has become a cautionary tale.

To the owner: I hope you read this. I hope you realize that hiring people who don’t care is slowly poisoning your business. You’re losing loyal customers—not because of the food alone, but because of the experience. Either turn this ship around or close the doors. Pueblo deserves better.

Done visiting this place because they are NEVER open during their listed operating hours.

Consistently good experiences here whether ordering through DoorDash or in person. Food always on point, order always correct and they are generous with their portions. One of my favorite spots for comfort food.
