ThunderZone Pizza and Tap House

Walked in and was greeted, told they only had limited menu available. Pizzas and calzones. Which was ok for us, place our order and when it came out our pizza was not at all what we ordered. Didn't get the condiments we asked for. Waiter never came by at all to check on our table, no refills offered. They did compensate one of our pizzas with a half off. Then at the end we had to end up asking for the check. Not at all busy so IMO no reason for the inconvenience.

This was our first visit, they were out of 2 wing sauce options we chose, and out of romaine lettuce that was in the salad. Wings were just okay, we tried 4 different flavors and none stood out as being delicious. They did have several choices, if only they were all available. The chips and salsa were okay. Service was good when she remembered to come by. All in all it took way to long for an 11am lunch and cost more than the taste should have. Maybe it was just an off day, but we likely won't go back.

I met my mom and dad here. It's kind of like an Old Chicago with a CSU Pueblo touch. We got there right at 11. I had the pizza slice and salad lunch deal. It was pretty good. My folks got a personal pizza. They enjoyed their food as well. Hard to say if I'll be back. There's just so much food in Pueblo that's off the charts.

So went there for lunch over the weekend. Service was slow with the place not being that busy. I had to go get my beer after waiting about 10 mins while I watched my server watch videos on a phone with a customer. No idea who actually was working there literally looked like anyone could walk in and just wait tables. While sitting and trying to finish up our lunch. Watched a cook take the trash out the front door. That's disturbing and disgusting. Then on the way out someone dumped a bunch of modelo stuff on a table. I looked at it grabbed a couple bottle cap openers and I'm guessing an employee snapped at me. Said you can't have that I told her I wanted buy them and she said you can't have them. What kind of slack jawed place is this. So far the last 2 times we've been there something nasty happened. The kilt lifter beer was expired as hell the week before.

We arrived at 5 PM; the place was not half-full. After ten minutes or so we placed our order. At 6 PM, we still had not gotten our food. The restaurant was at most 2/3 full at that time. Nearly an hour after we placed the order, the waitress came and told us the meal would be out “in a couple of minutes.” Ten minutes later still nothing. My wife went to ask to have the food packed up to go, and seemed unable to get the staff to understand this. Poor service. Way overpriced. No apologies for anything. Won’t be coming here again . NO STARS.

I am very picky about pizza and explicitly asked for ours to have extra sauce and baked well done. It was neither. The cheese was barely melted and the crust doughy. The $25 medium pizza was skimpy on toppings and I thought I was eating a Little Caesar's pizza. Thunder Zones idea of a "happy hour" is $1 off a beer. Thunder Zone is a wannabe ripoff of Tony and Joe's. Our waitress was pleasant but we will NEVER be back.

Clean, spacious restaurant. Food is pretty good and the service isn't too shabby either. There's beer on tap and a few cocktails on the menu.

We had pizza and wings + beer, all of it did not disappoint one bit.
